I was using the cassette interface at first, but I just got a disk emulator called a FreHD. It stores the DOS and program files on an SD card. There are versions for several TRS-80 models. I bought the one with the FreHD and the interface built into one box.

The OG! Can't beat the original, right?

Exactly!

Never had a TRS-80 Model in my hands. Was the monitor display always this crisp?

Mono CRTs have resolution as small as you can get the gun to point.
I hade a Mono monitor on a C-64, and use the luma output, and it was very good. Same with a mono CRT (TRS80 model 1 monitor for point of fact) on the one RCA on a CGA card in a PC. Same greatness.

I know what you mean, the elements on the screen look crisp and sharp, despite it being such a low resolution screen. This monitor is new to me, but it is all original and the text and graphics look more or less as I remember. I got very luck to find one in extremely good condition that seems to work flawlessly.
If I remember the history correctly, that is the finest budget monochrome CRT technology RCA had available in the late 1970s! Tandy needed to keep the launch price of the computer system as low as possible, so they sourced the monitor from RCA who supposedly took a cheap black and white TV, removed the tuner and added the video input cable.
