What to do with a toddler in Dallas?

I’ll be in Dallas/Arlington with my almost 2 year-old near the end of the month. Can anyone give any advice or recommendations for activities? He doesn’t like being cooped up, so hoping to get out at least once a day. TIA!

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has LOTS of "hands on" stuff.

The Grand Prairie Main library has a play area and computers plus books and it’s great. Also, lots of good parks. Randol Mill Park.

If it’s hot you can walk around North Park mall

Dallas Zoo, Fort Worth Zoo, the Dallas Arboretum, Kyle Warren Park are all great outdoor outings. If the weather is bad, consider the Perot Museum, North Park mall, or Half Price Books. All super fun!

you should try the dallas city pass! you get to do the perot museum (lots of stuff for kids) and the reunion tower. then you chose 2 other places between the dallas zoo, the george bush presidential museum or the holocaust museum. when my boyfriend and i did a staycation earlier this year, we just did the dallas zoo after the perot museum and reunion tower b/c the other options weren’t exactly fun to do 😅
in terms of your contamination OCD, the perot museum has quite a few hands on activities for kids (esp on the floor with the robotics) but the zoo is just like any other zoo where you walk around and view the animals, i think there may be some activities like feeding the animals, but i can’t remember. the reunion tower you really only touch the railings or if you want to use the binoculars to look around.
