A thousand horsepower and no driver aids? Is this thing gonna be crash-happy like the Viper?

“We don’t have the capabilities to develop extremely complex systems like driving aids, so we decided we stand for purity”

Assume alot of them will end up in their people's garages as flex cars? (Unlikely to be driven?)

Wow that's awesome. The design student that they stole it from must be proud.

Are you thinking about the Ares S1? This,as far as I know, has its roots in drawings by Sasha Selipanov from years ago.
StonePrism@reddit
I was thinking of the Ares, but this does look an awful lot like it.

Only from this angle, though. The car is quite different, and the main line might even predate the student's project.

They should have waited for them to finish the semester. Didn't get a chance to finish the back.

Not really related to the car but does Hartley engines have anything to do with former f1 driver Brendon Hartley?

Anyone else not even get excited in any way by these things? If I saw it I would be impressed no doubt but these things are so generic at this point. 1000hp ain't what it was either, I can boost my family car for that much.

Not being street legal in us will hurt it. What about elsewhere?

Hartley Engines gives this project a LOT of credibility. Gotta be the #1 bespoke engine manufacturer in new Zealand. This it the same country that spawned John Britten.

extremely limited new V12 hypercar has just dropped and people think it’s special but it’s turning into that buzz lightyear meme where they’re all the same, they are all just a bunch of high money V12 or hybrid hypercars, no where near as special as like a sports car in the 60s 😭

Looks a million times better than this new McLaren whip

Hand assembled in California, with a Kiwi V12.
