Gosh, look at that Midwest! How fortunate I feel to live in rural, forested, hilly Michigan, fresh water capital of the world. We get our share of tornadoes each spring, but that's why we have brick houses and deep basements. My siblings moved to overbuilt Pasco Co., FL - currently under water that has no place to go, without power or running water or sewer for a week - after an enormous tree fell of their home and destroyed their car last year. They wanted to get away from the Michigan snow.

I can see how Indiana could be on there, but with any climate change scenario that involves warming, it’s gonna be a hot, dusty, tornado hell, during parts of the year, Indiana climate is already kinda extreme. Same goes for Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

You still live in Michigan and One of my kids still does.
When I was a kid in Mich, tornado warnings were few and far between.
My daughter had a good 4 or 5 warnings just this summer
In that state, a warning means an actual rotation was spotted in your area.

I live in Michigan and can't understand why we are LOSING people to Florida, Arizona and Texas. We are not perfect, but we are safe, stable, surrounded by fresh water and have no major weather/ natural disaster issues...

Cold & snow is absolutely miserable and mental health destroying for some. My SAD was instantly gone when I got out of a snow state.

My 73yo husband has been watching our onrushing doom his whole life. I’m 49. I feel so bad for the young folks who will have to face everything previous generations have wrecked. The redshift of American politics has been going on my whole life.

We are by the Great Lakes, upper Midwest. Lots of people moving here getting a head start on things. Coming from CA, TX, NY. All over really. It’s weird. It’s not on the news yet in a real way so I guess it’s just the beginning. Houses are still affordable now. Maybe that’s why people don’t want others to know. All new construction in just this past year I’ve been seeing for condos.

Houses sell super quick in the Midwest area I am in. A lot of houses sell the week they are listed. I moved to an area I'd rather be in (got a junky fixer upper... Paid too much but was an ok deal) and my old house I listed on a Friday and I signed papers for it being sold the following Monday. It's crazy
