I think these labels mean something different in almost every country. In the context of the Balkans I actually think most parties are relatively moderate / close to the center, people here primarily vote on who they think is less corrupt.
What's left socdem? Social democracy is a pro capitalism ideology. It advocates for the preservation of capitalism with regulations.
Communism advocates for a socialist society. Democratic Socialists, Marxist, Ancomms all have the same goal but with different ways of achieving socialism.
I disagree, democratic socialists want socialism without abolishing the state, capital, markets etc. They just want socialism without revolution achieved through reformist and democratic means with political and social consensus, unlike marxist-leninists. Social democracy 100 years ago was the historical tactic to get to a socialist state but they changed the course for pragmatic reasons.
Social democrats 100 years ago are notting like Socdems today. They're not even close to SocDems in the 80s.
Social democracy today is a moderate centrist ideology that has shifted a lot to liberalism. Olof Palme (actually a great president) the Swedish social Democrat prime minister that was murdered a few decades ago was much more radical and more to then left than any socdems today
Thats what I m saying, modern social democracy aka Third Way is basicaly a centrist liberal ideology, Olof Palme actually called himself a democratic socialist, same for Leon Blum 30-40 years earlier than Palme. If anything, in case you are a social democrat we should give up on liberal economics and adopt post-keynesianism, I m not voting neoliberal milk and toast folks like Tony Blair or Schroeder.
I mean if I say social democracy then I'm gonna surrender and admit defeat to Northern Europeans, which as a Serb I don't want to admit to defeat. I want to invent a new ideology that will work to prove that Serbs can think and not rely on ideas coming from people considered Ubermensch. Last thing I want to do is prove Hitler right by admitting that Westerners have superior intellectual capabilities. Fuck that.

The political compass thinks I'm more of a left libertarian, but I honestly think it's off-centred. It assumes that if I'm conservative or right I must be an extremist, or else that I'm not really such. I don't agree with that. I also think the compass can't make the difference between a non-conformist supporting a variety of opposite-spectrum extremes and an almost indifferent moderate centrist. I might be more of the former, but I'm only guessing.
