I’m going to dedicate one browser to just forums instead of Reddit. I’ll open them in multiple tabs on startup. What are the best, most popular and active forums in 2023?

Many others seem to miss the old fashioned forums. I have just created one. It needs members willing to post and invite others. https://oldfashion.freeforums.net/
NyteReflections@reddit
Ugh I definitely miss them, they felt magical when you found one on a niche subject you like

Something Awful is some classic internet. It basically defined internet culture in the early 00s. Pretty sure 4chan was created by an SA user who hated their strict moderation. 10bux to make an account and harsh moderation really keeps the trolling down.

What is SA?

We have a casual themed forum for various discussions, though music and RV/Movies are probably the most popular topics.
It's called Something Completely Different. The url is: scd.community

Does anyone know any History topic internet forum? like just talking about Roman Empire

historum.com is probably what you're looking for. Hopefully you've found some during the last 7 months though

I have been looking for the past month. At this time, I am not aware of any source that publishes stats. Sounds bizarre since I assume there’d be money to make with these types reports. Wouldn’t Crunchbase be all over this? Am I just missing something right in front of me? Any Crunchbase people out there?

Does anyone know where I can learn the number of users on the largest Internet / Discussion Forums?

That link was the #1 search find from Google when I was researching but it is VERY LIMITED INFORMATJON. I am now using a site called SimilarWeb but I am only able to get total monthly visits. I am looking for UNIQUE monthly users. Huge difference. Don’t even see that a research firm has a report available. This is bizarre. There must be data somewhere.

There used to be a website that tracked the biggest forums, I think it was bigforums.com or something like that, but it stopped keeping the lists updated on a regular basis and it soon became a source of very outdated info. Right now I have a separate browser with tabs dedicated just to forums that I'm interested in, but it has become pretty cumbersome.
JeffreyBerk@reddit
Yes, that is gone now. Extremely surprised that nothing has taken its place. I am doing total registered users and unique user views / month but it is taking a long time. I have to go to each individual forum and lookup their stats. Can't believe a marketing company or advertiser or research firm doesn't have this information on a consolidated doc. Truly surprising!
unbearablecuntbag@reddit
I'd love to have those stats if you managed to get them.
FanClubs_org@reddit
FanClubs.org is one that I've been building.
The activity isn't there yet as it's in early access, but it's coming along. It's a collection of Message Board communities covering Sports, Gaming, and different forms of Entertainment.
alienssuck@reddit (OP)
What platform are you using? I used the BuiltWith toolbar and it didn't tell me that info.
cefaleia@reddit
i think its invision power board

Solid guess!

Depends on topic. If you like tech I know Macrumors, Ars Technica, Tom's Hardware, GameFAQs are quite popular.
