Is there a reliable way to heat a microwaveable hot water bottle without a microwave?

We got rid of our microwave and the only thing we struggle with is the "hot water bottles" that use a bead filling and heat up in the microwave. Any nifty solutions? Doesn't feel like sticking them in the oven is a great idea.

Grab a super cheap microwave for £10-20 and put it in a cupboard when you don't need it?

You know how you melt chocolate? Put a pan of boiling water on the stove, put a jug in the water and then the chocolate inside that? Same principle should work here. Maybe adding a lid of tinfoil on the jug just to keep more warm air in. The toy will never go above 100°C as long as there is still water in the pot. I don't know how long you'd have to do if for, maybe 5 minutes?
