Can I pair up my Legion 5 pro 165hz with a 100Hz Monitor?

I'm looking to buy a secondary monitor but am confused about whether the 165hz monitor I have on my legion would work with the 100hz monitor like Aiwa or MSI Pro. Are these under $100 monitors with 100hz work well I mean in terms of color and performance while gaming?
