19:35… this old white FAT FUCK makes a George Floyd joke. Fuck him and fuck these cops for gladhanding this piece of human garbage.
These people are what’s wrong with this country.
So glad this stupid goddamn generation is dying off.

I wonder if Boomie likes jelly or syrup.
He’s gonna be saying “I can’t breathe” for real once the homies give him a nice solid punch in the solar plexus for that joke.
Yeah, good thing he’s old and white. It’s funny how a hell of a lot less begins with some people handcuffed and sitting on the curb.
I hope this asshole loses the right to own a gun.
Shooting at a drone is against federal law, even the officer says this. 18 U.S.C. § 32 makes it illegal to intentionally damage, destroy, or disable an aircraft. This includes shooting down a drone with a firearm, crossbow, pellet gun, or by throwing rocks, The penalties for shooting down a drone include a fine of up to $250,000 and imprisonment for up to 20 years. Depending on the state, it can also be a state crime..
Deputy Sheriff’s arrest on state local charges, not federal. I didn’t say it wasn’t a federal crime to do that, just he wasn’t arrested for that charge.
They recently (2 months ago, I think) migrated from the Wing App to the Walmart app, and since then I haven't ordered once. It was buried under multiple menus in the Walmart app, not quick or easy like the Wing App had been. With the wing App I'm 100% sure it was just the in-store price with no delivery fee at all. We abused that like you wouldn't believe. Anything we could get droned, we would. I'm sure they were doing it cheap for the same reasons lots of startups charge unprofitable prices at first.
I just found it in the Walmart app again, and it looks like they're charging an absolutely stupid delivery fee now. $20. The page says ..."flown to you in 30 minutes for $19.99", and then shows all the stuff you can order. Certainly looks like a $20 delivery fee.
Also, 30 minutes is crap too. It used to be about 10. 7-8 minutes to load the drone and then a timer starts when it takes off. Takes two minutes to get here after liftoff.
Now I'm a little salty. I was hoping this would catch on with a small delivery fee and the very fast delivery. With this price and a 30 minute wait, it's doomed.
Thank you for your input. Yeh I don’t see how drone shipping can be profitable for low cost items. Even if it is an emergency I’d rather drive than pay $20 shipping for $5 worth of groceries. Plus it’s just ripe for kids to abuse the hell out of it 😄
I keep reading the words but they don’t quite make sense to me. Like I can’t reconcile what that would look like in my world.
Guess I’m getting old. Fuck
It's pretty cool, tbh. They zoom over the neighborhood all day and you can kinda hear them, but it's not intrusive. Very load when they get lower right above you to make the delivery though. They hover at maybe 50ft and lower the package to the ground on a cable, and even at that height you're getting loads of wind in your face.
They have a weight limit greater than 28oz, because you can order a 28oz can of tomatoes. The limit seems to be close to 48oz, because when you go above that you're guaranteed two drones! When family come to visit with more kids, we order like 10 pints of ice cream and they'll send that in 4 drones usually. They conga-line in a pretty neat way. When you queue up multiple loads.
LOL I don’t believe you, I mean I do believe it’s happening but what the fuck this is bonkers
We have lots of trees here where I’m at, I wonder how they would even do that
Nah, it's a federal firearms violation, he may avoid jail, but the fines and community service will be significant and I doubt he gets to have his for a while, if ever.
Girl I had the hugest crush on in high school's dad was a detective. Always advised us not to talk without at least our parents present. But also was real honest that with petty shit (like speeding) just be honest and don't be a dick. "Cops hate paperwork".
The defense won’t be for if he did or didn’t do it, they would be arguing whether he had any right to”defend his castle” most likely. He’s fucked either way
He doesn't have to deny it. Once they mirandize him, he could say something like, I'd like to consult an attorney to better understand this situation first. You can be cordial with the officers while not answering questions.
True. But I don't see what a lawyer advice would be besides be apologetic and declare yourself guilty.
In this case, the fact he did it immediately without council will probably help him to the eyes of the judge/prosecutor.
Even the cop praised him.
It helped on my eyes.
Leniency is the only thing that can help him.
This idea is so so so so wrong. The court and the prosecutor cannot punish or look unfavorably upon a person invoking their constitutional RIGHTS to counsel or silence during a criminal investigation. (Consult a lawyer in your area if you have questions about this.)
I’m a lawyer (not yours. And, again, see above.) But, I may or may not have been a prosecutor and may or may not know criminal defense attorneys. Yes, invoking your rights to counsel and silence may lead to an arrest on suspicion of crime… but… notice how this guy gave up all this info and… STILL GOT ARRESTED on suspicion of a crime lol.
The mindset in the comment above puts people in very bad situations probably 10-1 as it helps them. (Not a real stat, just generalizing.)
Again, I’m not your lawyer. Consult with attorneys in your jurisdiction—but, know your rights and safely, respectfully insist they be respected.
Are you sure you are replying to the right person? I said you can request a lawyer nicely and the cops won't care, as in, the cops will continue to treat you the same whether you invoke your rights or not, they just won't question you if you do invoke your rights. Then you can talk to your lawyer about ramifications and possible plea agreements.
I clicked “Reply” to the comment copied below, so I’m not sure if it tagged to your post, but that was not my intent.
*True. But I don’t see what a lawyer advice would be besides be apologetic and declare yourself guilty.

It doesn't look bad on you to just say you want to speak to a lawyer to get an understanding of things, the cops truly don't mind as long as you are cooperative and there isn't any information they need right at that moment. Once you talk to a lawyer, you can still give your full story to the prosecutor up front and likely get a deal or leniency. The prosecutor will still see that you were cooperative with the officers and not being evasive.
I'm not saying it would look bad.
I'm just saying his honesty didn't disclose nothing they didn't know already, so he gain those points and didn't lost much.
In any other case, I agree he should talk to a lawyer first.
I get what you are saying. I guess I just feel it's best to consult an attorney first to know all possible ramifications of confessing and possibly accepting a plea deal for a confession. I just don't think there is a big difference in your , I don't know, 'compliance level', for lack of a better term, if you confess to the officer or the prosecutor, but only the prosecutor can offer you deals.
You don’t need your rights to be read in order to stfu. They can use statements against you before Miranda. The cops need to prove the case , you not talking doesn’t make you presumed guilty.
Of course, don’t shoot drones.
Exactly. If you are not guilty…you need legal representation if you are guilty you need legal representation. Be polite, request your lawyer and exercise your right to silence.
> Denying what he did wouldn't play well in court.
He doesn't need to deny anything. That's the whole point of "innocent until proven guilty". He just has to not say *anything*.
He needed not to discharge a firearm in a place where it was illegal unless he was in fear of his life (which he most certainly wasn’t). But by then he was way beyond that.
That said, I do kind of feel for the guy. Yes, shooting at the drone is reckless and dangerous. Equally, though, if he had been buzzed by personal drones before, there is that question of what it is he's supposed to do about it. I can see why he thought shooting at it was valid, even if it was a stupid thing to do.
I *almost* almost feel bad for him, but he was really reckless and could have killed someone. Plus, his "i can't breathe, I can't breathe" joke made me lose any compassion for him. He's joking about police killing a man. Harharharrrr police brutality is hilarious.
I agree! What he did was stupid and dangerous. I still believe that exercising your right to remain silent is the very best option when dealing with many if not most law enforcement encounters.
You are both correct. Had he not fired the gun, he wouldn’t have needed to shut up. He should have just said he needs to engage with his lawyer before he says anything else so he can know how to proceed, the time for that was right after she mirandized him
He needed to shut up from the very first second he came outside. In fact, his wife needed to shut up. “Is your husband home?” “Can I take a message for him and have him get back to you?”
I’d even venture as far as to say if you discharge a firearm illegally outside your home it might be worth going to stay with your kid for a couple days so you aren’t home when they come knocking and have a little warning to get that lawyer.
"What am I going to do...lie?"
That's the thing about talking to people, including police. People don't want to just say nothing. So it's either speak the truth or lie. Of course, with police shutting up *is* an option.
Happens on every police video I watch. Every time they take someone to the ground "I can't breathe" like it's a get out of jail card. The Floyd murder was awful, but it hasn't stopped anyone from using it as an excuse.
FAFO. Just imagine that bullet coming down on a couple of kids peacefully playing in their backyard killing one. I’ve got no pity for someone this reckless.
Fortunately, if he shot at a steep angle like not far past 45 degrees the bullet will stop flying and tumble back down so not much speed. Basically like someone threw a tiny rock at you. These guys are reason number 4438 why the US needs better gun control.
Negligently discharging a firearm implies you didn’t mean to discharge the weapon, this guy admitted it was intentional - hence the felony charges instead of a misdemeanor (negligent discharge).
It is a crime, one that he was charged with.
790.15 Discharging firearm in public or on residential property.
[http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App\_mode=Display\_Statute&URL=0700-0799/0790/Sections/0790.15.html](http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0700-0799/0790/Sections/0790.15.html)
790.19 Shooting into or throwing deadly missiles into dwellings, public or private buildings, occupied or not occupied; vessels, aircraft, buses, railroad cars, streetcars, or other vehicles.
He was also charged with 806.13 - Criminal mischief; penalties; penalty for minor
For the firearm in public was a first degree misdemeanor, for the other two were felonies - second and third respectively.
Well, once people remember theres a gun designed specifically to hit shit that's flying, the story will change. Modern militaries have just plain forgotten about shotguns in most situations.
There was a video on my feed earlier that showed exactly this tho… a Ukrainian(?) soldier in a moving humvee shot an approaching drone out of the sky like it was second nature
I’ve seen both things, Ukrainian shooting a drone from a moving hummer and a bunch of Russians riding the top of a tank all unloading on a suicide drone and it still gets through, takes the tank engine out and presumably injures them. It’s a wild war
He was fine till the cop mirandized him, at that point he should have just said he wants to talk to his lawyer to understand what’s going on before continuing
A Walmart delivery drone hovering right above you is not the same as a tiny explosive drone flying at you from a distance.
By the time those drones get as close as this one was, it’s too late.
I will never understand people who confirm they understand that they don't have to talk to the police without a lawyer present and then dig their own grave. Shut. The Fuck. Up.
We're not living in a world anymore where the village idiot could just apologize his way out of trouble with the local sheriff.
Police are very good at making people feel like they’re talking their way out of something while they’re actually making it worse. Like that whole thing about how long it took to walk in the house, unlock the safe, get the gun, walk back outside to say can you believe how long that drone was loitering when in actuality he’s describing his intent and how many chances he had to reconsider his actions before shooting.
What a POS. He probably considers himself a responsible gun owner who even uses a safe and then turns around to discharge a firearm in the air in a residential area. That’s reckless. Was he afraid for his life? Nope. He suspected it was a neighbor getting some footage to share online or a grad party present. Better get the gun! Then while he stupidly talked and incriminated himself the entire time he finally ends up in hand cuffs. He went peacefully without resisting and as such the cops were naturally gentle with him and he jokes “I can’t breathe”.
Just because this guy was the right color and had the right batch of cops to handle him doesn’t mean others will get the same treatment. Police brutality is real as white privilege.
On a side note from my prospective the cops seemed very professional and in this case don’t seem to fit in to the ACAB stereotype. To me it sounded like the laugh followed by a uggh/sigh after his joke put a bad taste even in their mouth. The guy cuffing didn’t look amused. I can only imagine how it felt to actively get support from some reckless moron with a gun while you’re just trying to take him to jail.
In his defense, he does say hes had problems with prowlers before and walmart was just hovering there. He told them to leave, they didn't. I think its kind of fair that he shoots at them. especially after it loitered, and started to drop a hook next to his vehicles. Fear for one's self and personal property is pretty much all in the law.
Be afraid by more dangerous things then a fishing line.
Your fear of property safety doesn't override your neighbors concerns of catching stray bullets. FAA doesn't take kindly to shooting at aircraft
My thought as well. And some bird shot would have much more likely damaged the thing enough for it to not fly anymore. As well as mitigated the risk of accidentally killing someone with a falling bullet.
A few things you never fuck with: military vehicles, black man’s radio, unseasoned food, and federally controlled anything. Federal agencies don’t fuck around.
FCC is another bad one to cross.
Somebody was driving down the interstates outside Tampa with a cell phone jammer so that other drivers couldn't use their phones around his car. FCC tracked his ass down, doing triangulation and other physics.
Is it though? Custom FPV drones are a thing and you need a Ham license to operate anything above 25mW for the VTX and RX link. But no one I know uses 25mW. Everyone flies at 250mW to 1W of RF output. I have never seen the FCC go after anyone with an FPV drone for for illegal broadcasting.
For the curious: [https://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/crime/seffner-man-fined-48000-by-fcc-for-using-cell-phone-jammer-on-daily-commute/2278972/](https://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/crime/seffner-man-fined-48000-by-fcc-for-using-cell-phone-jammer-on-daily-commute/2278972/)
yo I can’t believe his mockery of a murder victim isn’t the first fucking thing mentioned in this post. He wouldn’t be laughing if one of those too nice cops threw him to the ground and drove their knee into his ugly fat back. Hope the judge throws the book at him and he rots under a cell.
He seems like a really nice old guy, but I feel like he could’ve been just as friendly without sharing every thought he’s ever had with the cops. Also, I can’t shake the feeling that the only reason the police are treating him so kindly is because he’s a wealthy old white man.
What, you think a young black man discharging a firearm in a neighborhood would be treated any differently? It's not like he was selling loose cigarettes or something. /s
There was no reason not to be nice, being calm and polite just sealed up that conviction real tight. why be a hard ass when he fully confessed, they want him to keep talking.
Is it possible the cops are being this way because he’s been overly honest and forthright and not due to his skin color? Compare that to how Tyreek Hill acted and don’t you think just maybe that could explain some of the difference in treatment?
So he shot at it because he thought it was some kids drone they got as a present? It isn’t hurting him, so why shoot at some kids present.
He also said it might be a drone from a neighbor taking pictures of his property. Guess what, there’s a lot of pictures of your property that’s online and available for anyone to view. I can go to Google Maps and look around at pretty good resolution too. Legally, pictures of property can be taken from anywhere that can be seen from public property.
$13,500 later and 1 night in jail and he’s free. Hopefully he at least learned his lesson and will think twice about discharging his weapon.
https://www.lcso.org/inmates/mugshot_booking_detail.php?bookingnumber=24003948
as the cops gently and carefully cuff the shooter in front of his back (since he's been cooperative) he "jokes" I cant breathe, I cant breathe, I cant breathe...
Fuck this fat old cunt I hope that he dies in jail - I know damn well he will get a fine and a slap on the wrist coz old white man in Florida but what a fucking cunt.
I hope the next drone that flies over his house drops grenades.
Bravo that the guy at least admits to all the stupid shit he did. More people need to step up and just admit when they do stupid shit. No need for a trial- he'll plead guilty, they'll toss minor charges and he'll get a minimal sentence. He has NO clue about the federal part, though- he has NO clue at all how serious that charge is going to be. The reckless firearm use is bad enough... But bravo for being a man and not lying.
Yeah... not good negligently discharging a firearm, which is what I'm mad about. It sounds like he's in pretty deep shit for combining that with stuff flying in the air (because the FAA doesn't care to distinguish cheap drones from real aircraft).
I hate how stupid and dangerous he is, but also get the point of view of not wanting drones flying near your house.
No these drones are so annoying. They make a ton of noise and fly over these neighborhoods constantly. I was talking to a guy recently who lives in a neighborhood with that problem and it sounded miserable.
Yeah, but they’re not going to run over some kids playing ball in the street because they are zonked on trucker speed and because they have to work 17 hours per day and piss in a bottle to make $9/hr.
When was the last time you read an article about an Amazon driver hitting some kid? And think how many miles those things do daily. Those drivers are probably the most monitored of any. Read up on all the cameras and sensors…those guys don’t get away with much.
I agree with your point about Amazon mistreating their employees though
This is something that is wickedly not understood. Nervous energy is dispelled in many ways and people having odd non-verbals shouldn’t be interpreted as agreement.
Sure, I agree it is a bad look for him; but I’ve learned that people say and do stupid things when they are in trouble. When I’m dealing with someone who is in trouble, a lot of times they try to break the tension by saying something off color. I give the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to stress. I think the most elevated way of thinking about empathy is that my giving it is not dependent on whether it is deserving; rather it is dependent on how I am on my heart.
Yeah if I was incriminated for every awful "joke" some of my in-laws said I'd be fucked. Better to laugh at how stupid he is, sip my beer and walk away then call him a dumbass again and things get extremely heated very quickly.
The cop's job is to gather evidence and make the arrest. If laughing at the suspect's jokes puts the suspect at ease, the suspect is more likely to continue incriminating himself.
He didn't even care about incriminating himself and he knew the cops wouldn't get violent with him.
When they were handcuffing the idiot, the cop asked him if the cuffs were too tight! He responds by laughing and saying "I can't breathe, I can't breathe." Fucking racist piece of trash. smh At least the cops didn't engage with him on the joke.

He did something stupid, he cooperated, I kind of felt sorry for him until they were cuffing him and he said, "i can't breathe, I can't breathe, I can't breathe" then laughed.
Yeah I disagree. I had a co-worker have a drone try and spy on them through windows consistently.
The police kept saying they couldn’t do anything about it.
> Yeah I disagree.
Perhaps you failed to notice the number of cops, and the detective that arrived on sight in fairly short order, followed by the handcuffs, and heading to jail. And all that occurred while being totally white.
Perhaps you failed to use your imagination to understand that the person you replied to may not live in the same state and jurisdiction as the video, and therefore might have experienced something different than that depicted in the video.
Perhaps you could give that person the benefit of that doubt that - just maybe - they're telling the truth, and haven't carefully crafted a comment to deceive you.
They're replying in a thread that's obviously started in the US to begin with and didn't indicate anything not-US. It's not on us to assume they're from the North Pole or Madagascar or a small remote tribe off the coast of Alaska because they didn't clarify.
Coworker should have just hung some thin fishing line from his gutters over his windows, when it gets close to the window to spy it has to pass through the line and the propellers will get tangled
Not sure that guy could accurately throw a baseball let alone move his body in a way to throw it upwards. Way easier for this paranoid moron to turn to his gun.
Oh, I agree completely, but I would say we could give him ten chances with a baseball. He wouldn't have hit shit, and he'd still be at home watching Fox News.
It is. But on the other hand I think if someone is buzzing a drone so low on your house that a frail old man could hit with a baseball, it should be fair game.
Felt mildly sorry for the old duffer until he dropped the “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe” ‘joke’ at the end. White privilege MF. They’ll never learn.
Poor guy thought he was within his rights to defend his property. Have to feel bad for him considering he had a neighbor spying on him with a drone. Hopefully the judge is lenient with his sentence.
Are you kidding me?
Even he thought it was a neighbor, there are many other actions he could have taken. Like — I don’t know — talk to the neighbor. Or call the cops and report the drone.
Hell he could have taken a picture and validated that it was over his property line.
Any number of actions before shooting at it. In fact I can’t even fathom a situation when that’s even remotely acceptable.
Not to mention he was a jackass making fun of a young man dying, pretending that he can’t breathe. Hope the judge throws the book at him.
I’m not defending him discharging a firearm in a neighborhood. And his joke was not funny. But his neighbor was spying on him while his wife was sunbathing in a bikini and posted it online. This said, he was rattled and didn’t exercise good judgment.
Really strange how casual he and his wife are about the whole "Oh-iI'm-getting-arrested thing!"
Dennis Winn everybody!!

Was there a notice put out to residents of drones now flying over doing drop offs?
A drone above your house and you have no reason why it's there could be a very scary situation same as somebody trying to break into your house.
Stepping out to talk to the cop. = First mistake
Reading of Miranda Rights = STFU
Swore Statement = You're in a butt ton of trouble
You see more cops and, a Detective is now on scene. = Straight to Jail
at 16mins "I'm going to have to find a real good defense lawyer." = You cooked, too late
Honesty is not the best policy!! CALL A LAWYER
Note: I'm not saying what he did was cool, not at all. Shooting at a drone with a real gun is dumb and reckless... but my gawd give your defense attorney something to work with!
Maybe I’m as dumb as this guy, but doesn’t the Castle Doctrine give him some leeway here? Given his age, maybe he genuinely had no idea what that thing was flying above his house, on his property. Doesn’t he have a right to defend his property?
Say he did know it was a drone. With all these tech advancements, and what drones can be used for (espionage, spotters), I could genuinely see somebody being afraid of a drone on their property and thinking lethal force is reasonable.
Does this drones have Walmart markings on them? Is it made expressly clear that they are delivering packages? Is this murky territory that we haven’t figured out yet?
But WAS it over his property? By husband own testimony he was near the back of his house, looking over his roofline toward the front. Chances are it was delivering a package to a house across the street and he just THOUGHT it was closer.
Castle Doctrine, is a big fat nope! At no point was he in any danger. There's a big difference from being outside your home and an intruder breaking into your home.
The only leeway given will be for his brutal honesty, and if no one died then it will probably be a Fine and some community service.
This is what we call “privilege”. The cops know that they’re there for a jackass who fires a weapon into the air in a neighboring without regard for where the round will land, and they let him put his hands in and out of his pockets, behind his back, allow him to hustle off behind the house. If this was anything other than an old rich white guy, I’m afraid this would have gone very differently, especially the moment he put his hand in his pocket.
Thankfully no one was murdered by police *or* by this reckless boomer.

There is exactly one circumstance in which you can lawfully discharge a firearm in a residential neighborhood: to prevent imminent physical bodily injury or death to yourself or another. That is it.
That.
Is.
It.
Shooting at a drone is… not it.
Good. These people need to get over the idea they can just shoot down a drone cause they don’t like it. They are aircraft, and the FAA will treat them as such.
Good way to end up in Destination Fucked.
Geez. I had gained some sympathy for him figuring he’s just genuinely dumb and ignorant of the severity of shooting at things in the air. But then he goes with the “I can’t breathe” mocking at the end and I think he must just genuinely be a terrible human being. Regardless of your politics clearly someone being suffocated to death is a tragedy and doesn’t deserve to be mocked.
I had some sympathy for him, old guy who probably doesn’t fully appreciate modern technology, got a bit spooked by a drone buzzing round his house and is being honest with the police - to his detriment.
But that all disappeared when he made the ‘I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe’ comment (at 19.35s).
Lake county, close enough.
And the NIMBY crew really likes to bring upon themselves what they say they are trying to avoid. Safe neighborhood, no gunfire? Not unless I’m the one doing the shooting.
The George Floyd comment was peak Florida boomer trash.
I’m kinda surprised by the comments. Yeah it’s pretty stupid what he did. Incriminating himself? Yeah he just told the truth of what he did instead of having it eventually figured out. White trash? Idk. Seemed like a pretty pleasant person to interact with and if I was a cop I’d be thankful. Probably their most pleasant interaction with anyone all week.
