Hello guys, has anyone any opinion on these monitors ? Maybe someone that has used 1 or more of these three ? .... My preferable budget would be up to 250 € but open to suggestions :
- LG UltraGear 27GS60QC-B - 180Hz (Curved) - Around 220€
- LG UltraGear 27GR75Q-B - 165 Hz (Flat) - Around 230€
- LG UltraGear 27GR83Q-B - 240 Hz (Flat) - Around 400€
Thanks

Get the 165Hz one or the 180Hz depends if you want the curve, but i would not get the 240Hz one. the difference from 165 to 240 is so small so you probably wont even notice it and paying 170€ more for something that is so small just does not make sense. I got the 45gr95qe 240Hz and going from 160 to 240 in games, i can barely notice it.

So I went with the MSI G27QPX ....

how do you like it?

First of all I bought it for 326 euro. The screen is near perfect for me and the purpose I need it for !!! Only drawbacks for me is the VESA 75 mount instead of a 100mm one !!
Also the contrast and brightness dont' suffice most of the time !!

Thank you!!

As i wrote above I stumbled upon this one too (27GP850P-B IPS) and I think that's what I am going with ... It's for the better ... eye comfort too and better contrast

I have not used any of those specific monitors, but there are in depth reviews of the second two, and I can make some assumptions about the first.
The 27GS60QC-B is a VA panel. That means much better contrast, but worse viewing angles as well as fairly nasty overshoot leading to "black smearing" where you'll get long black trails behind some objects. This is true of all VA panels, even the high end Samsung ones.
The 27GR75Q-B is really nice IPS monitor. And probably the "best" of the three options here, at least within your budget. Yes it's only 165hz, but it can actually display 165hz with no overshoot which neither of the other two monitors can claim. Meaning it'll have the least amount of ghosting and sharpest motion. Especially when using backlight strobing at the same time, though it doesn't support VRR w/ strobing so you can only use it if you can maintain 100fps, 120fps, or 165fps in a game and explicitly set that as your display's refresh rate.
The 27GR83Q-B is also a really nice IPS monitor. Better than the 27GR75Q-B in some ways, most obviously the max refresh rate, but also in console support where it can accept a 4k 120hz HDR VRR input from either the PS5 or Xbox Series X and it'll downscale it to 1440p. That said, it's not really 170€ better. Unless you have a GPU and play games actually capable of 240fps at 1440p, then it's probably not worth pushing your budget up to get it.

So I went with the MSI G27QPX .... Remains to see how that goes

Thank you for your reply ... My PC Setup might support those extra fps but still; you are right about the 170 more price that doesn't justify the added value. T

2k= 1080p By the way...
Flash391@reddit (OP)
Yeah, 1440p is the correct term but okay

Either the first or the second, depends if you want curved or flat, both are good
