We need to have our kids bring this song back through social media.
How would it fit on Tik Tok?

I used to buy kerrang as a kid and there was a full size lita ford poster that took three issues to save for. I had it over my bed lol

I use to be a big fan of Ozzy but when you really read about Ozzy you realize he didn’t write much of his music. Much of the stuff when he went solo was Bob Daisley, Jake E Lee and Zakk Wylde especially on the early albums. This some is probably no different but my bet is even though Ozzy has writing credit it is probably all Lita.

Oh yeah, Ozzy has never been a songwriter. Geezer said he was glad he wouldn't have to write all the lyrics anymore when Dio joined. He may have changed or added a few words and got the credit. Or Sharon was just a bitch about it.

He just realized his kids think anything pre-2010 is practically ancient history.

40 years ago wasn't that long ago, really. If you use ice ages as reference.

Yeah, that's why Big Band swing from the 1940s was so big when we were in the 1980s, right? Admit it, 40 years is a long, long damn time ago.

No, but it did have it's moment again in the mid-90's. And it was glorious.

Love the song, but this video just makes me sad. His hard driving life is caught up to him. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO3y4WNJE5I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO3y4WNJE5I)

Nevermind song, bring back a genre like this--or any genre--that has danger, irreverence, sleaze and authenticity to shake up culture just a bit. Everything is too safe.

I sing for a Black Sabbath tribute named Iron Mang, and we just did a cover of this at an all-star show last month. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/Pta6XdBy9vbiCc2A/?mibextid=oFDknk

Oh this is bad. I don't know the song! I saw your link and clicked because not one person named the song and I *still* don't know the song! Help?

My wife saw Lita Ford open up for a other band last night. She is slightly Xennial which is a controversial topic in our house. But I digress, anyway, she can be forgiven for *not* knowing that Lita was in the Runaways. Among other things she said they did a completely kickass "cover" of "Cherry Bomb." Later someone told her that wasn't a cover. But she said something else that warmed my heart. She said that Lita was "awesome." And way better than the headliner which I am intentionally not getting into because that could become its own controversy and I want to keep the focus on Lita. I would love to know that she is living her best life and I am thrilled that she's rockin' people's faces off after all these years. And all the bulls**t those girls went through back in the day. I am also happy to note that they definitely kicked down some doors, and kicked in some teeth (where necessary) to pave the way for today's girls and women who are blowing everyone's minds with their female powered music and dominating so many of the music charts.

I was at the same concert, and I have to disagree. Lita was good and has always been good every time I've seen her. The headliners were fantastic, though. The Runaways for sure are trailblazers and I always see Ford and Joan Jett every chance I get.

I wasn't there and not in a position to agree or disagree. But I loved hearing that Lita was awesome. I have never seen any of them live, not even Joan and I know now that I need to get some tickets when I have a chance.

>She is slightly Xennial which is a controversial topic in our house. Saw this post in my feed, and bruh my mom was born April 83 and my step dad in October 65. Got the whole Gen X spectrum in the house, crazier when she visits her sister in laws house (Feb 61)

What's interesting about your take is that most of my wife's siblings are solidly millennial. And I am just realizing how important *that* part is right now with your comment. So once again, the Xers are learning and getting valuable insights from the younger generations (assuming Maddox is Gen Z or Alpha or something). My immediate family and all of our first cousins are all along the spectrum of Gen X: '65 to late 70s with one outlier born in about '83.

When I was much much younger and this song first came out, I got very very inebriated and sang it a karaoke bar... both parts...a short of duet with myself. Good times.

Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) and David Draiman (Device) did a killer cover of this song back in like 2013. Highly recommend

Just came to recommend this. It was David's side band Device.

Lizzy Hale should have been a GenX. She’s got the vibe for it, and she’s fronting Skid Row now, although Sebastian Bach will always be Skid Row to me.

They think it would blow up on TikTok, but he wonders if nostalgia can really drive trends in a space that thrives on novelty.
