Anybody else discover SCTV when you were a kid?

We didn’t have cable on the early 80s, and the channel SCTV was on didn’t come in great, but as a young teenager, after hearing “Take Off” on the radio, learning that Bob & Doug McKenzie were characters on a show called SCTV, and seeing SCTV in the TV listings, I stayed up to watch as best I could; sound was good, picture quality was maybe 60-70% clear, after rotating the aerial to the best reception position with the dial part that sat on top of the TV. It was an awesome show, and I’ve checked out a lot of SCTV that’s available on YouTube these days. I’d just started junior high, which was more challenging than elementary school, and I guess took some wind out of my sails, because a lot of the time, I fell asleep either during the 11 o’clock news or during Johnny Carson, and woke up to SCTV during the last sketch of the episode, or the end credits. But I managed to stay awake most of the time.
