I hate the word "expat". You are immigrants. That is it. Immigrants wo are too racist ro use that word.

Don’t understand the hostility, it was just a genuine question to see if I can make any connections with other “immigrants”. I’m quite new to Reddit and just asked a honest question..

I am sorry, I came of rude. Use the word expat which implies you came from a country which is more developed or better then where you arrived. Thus you insult my nation and my people. You call yourself an expat but why? What does that mean that differenciates you from an immigrant?

Refer to dictionary: Expat (Expatriate): This term often implies a temporary stay in a foreign country. There's often an expectation, whether stated or implied, that the person will return to their home country at some point. The reasons for being an expat are varied but often include work assignments, study abroad, or a temporary lifestyle change.
Immigrant: This term typically refers to someone who moves to a foreign country with the intention of settling permanently. They aim to make the new country their long-term home.
"Expat" does not come with any negative meaning at all. I got a 3 years-asaignment in Budapeat, what should I identify myself as? Immigrant?

I’m planning to come and live there next year, at least for 1 year. Do you have any recommendations for good year-round apartment rental agencies?

That’s like asking if the sky is blue or the water is drinkable.
What’s your object Mary Poppins?
TaktikElch@reddit
Yeah, sounds more line scam invitation. Although, drinkability of water really is questionable depending on water properties :)

Did you even try to look on Google? There are a lot of results that would've answered your question.
