With the announcement that the Jeep Gladiator will no longer be available with a manual transmission, the era of the mid-size manual truck is no more. Let's take a moment to memorialize the fallen stick-shift transmissions: Toyota Tacoma - Died in 2024 Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon - Died in 2023 Nissan Frontier - Died in 2019 Ford Ranger - Died in 2011 Perhaps the rise of the unibody compact truck might lead to a manual transmission gracing the hands of the 12 people who want them, but only time will tell

Tacoma still has it. There’s still time to take this down

I'm pretty sure that the Tacoma still comes with a manual.

>The 285-hp V-6 remains the sole engine, I thought I had read that the '25 was also going to get the 2.0 4xe option? Either way, it's kind of ironic given that the Wrangler built at the very same plant is going the opposite direction: if you want the V6, it has to be manual.

I'm not really a Jeep guy so maybe I was just out of the loop, but I had no idea that you could get these with a manual.
