It's not just a generational thing, the world is just full of idiots. When the movie Memento came out 24 years ago, it was heralded for its creative storytelling. For anyone who hasn't seen it, basically the story is told backwards. A guy loses his memory in a tragic event and to figure out what happened he retraces his steps and leaves notes on his body (because he'll forget everything when he next wakes) until he discovers the truth. The whole point of the movie was the working backwards to the beginning. I saw it in the theater. The lights came on and these people in front of us stood up and started talking about it. Here was the conversation I overheard. That was pretty good Yeah but it would have been better if they showed it in order. Think about it. Average IQ is 100. That means half the population has an IQ under 100. So yeah, not surprised in the slightest
