The android version is coming soon. It's currently in Google play store review. So I'll link it in the comments as soon as it's published.
I tried the app on my iPad and it works great! I'm super excited for the android release. It's very reddit-esque and doesn't look like just a PWA.
I want to thank the developer for letting me try it, I really appreciate it!
Let me know your opinions and what you think in the comments!

Does anyone know what the business model is for this site? How is it currently being funded?
CiceroMainchan@reddit
Yep I can answer that!
It's not being funded, I'm just a solo dev and this is a side project I've been working on for 4 years or so now.
I don't plan on ever having ads. The plan is to one day monetize through "private feeds", basically like onlyfans. Only verified content creators can make private feeds.

There's no content creators or anything like that yet though, we're no where near popular enough.

Thanks for answering. How much are your current ongoing expenses? I take it that it's currently running at a loss out of your pocket, especially since you are putting in your own time to develop it?
Are you the developer behind the iOS and Android apps too? I am a mobile developer btw.
CiceroMainchan@reddit
Sorry for the late response. Expenses aren't much, like 50$ a month total for everything. But yes Mainchan is far from profitable, and will probably never be.
And yes I made the mobile app as well, but I had someone helping me to look at bugs and whatnot.

Is this a US-based project?
CiceroMainchan@reddit
I'm Canadian. Idk if that answers your question.

You can ask the developer Ciecero I think his name is on mainchan.com

Can someone eli5 what this is? Is it like lemmy or mastodon?
GregSilverblue@reddit
It's not federated so it's not like lemmy or mastodon. Just a reddit-like website with a couple additional features such as optional anonymous posting and image support in comments. Recently we got video submission support too.

Why can’t people make a social media app that doesn’t have the “feed” system? It’s prone to being very addictive
weatherinfo@reddit
That’s how they make money. No social media app would ever intentionally avoid the feed system
