Name the episode, and was Riker tempted by the ladies?

I don’t need your fantasy women!
DJDevine@reddit
Oh you’re so stolid! You weren’t like this before the beard.
whatsbobgonnado@reddit
should've been like "how about now?" snap all the fantasy women have riker beards
theunixman@reddit
It was the 80s
owlpellet@reddit
taps mic leans in
Would.
UrguthaForka@reddit
I love that line!
I have heard stories that John de Lancie ad libbed it but I have no proof of it.
Acceptingoptimist@reddit
Eat any good books is my other favorite.
frustratedComments@reddit
I say this to my bookie friends all the time and they never pick up on it.
CaptainMatticus@reddit
The whole episode is full of great lines. Definitely my favorite Q episode, especially with that scene between himself and the other Q.
I wasn't the one who "misplaced" the entire Deltivid asteroid belt!
Hey! This isn't about me!
Seamakw1766@reddit
Ah, you're so stolid. You weren't like that before the beard
Steely-Dave@reddit
Proceeds to holodeck….
Shadoecat150@reddit
Minuet appears
CMDR_ACE209@reddit
Inaudible emphasis was on "your", I guess.
Reasonable_Pay4096@reddit
TBF, holodeck women aren't Q's fantasy women...
PronouncedEye-gore@reddit
Honestly, Q seems low effort. He doesn't assume good qualities on anyone but himself. So why would he try?
Now, a Riker made simulation? That's the kind of product you can trust to have that ... personal touch.
PDCH@reddit
Minuet
Acceptingoptimist@reddit
Literally laughed out loud.
FoogYllis@reddit
Underrated comment.
RedPhule@reddit
He's so stolid.... Wasn't like that before the beard...
Inevitable-Charity91@reddit
The episode "Deja Q" was Q's best outing on TNG, but concerning the women, my guess is that Riker had to experience some fleeting emotional reaction or he wouldn't have told Q off like that. "You're so stolid! You weren't like that before the beard..." And really, Q did do a right fair job of rendering them.
papier-bizarre@reddit
The best part of the episode is when Q gives Data the gift of laughter. What a damn joy.
DarkBabyYoda@reddit
False. The best part was obviously:
Q: What do I need to do to prove I'm powerless?
Worf: You can die.
ragnorokismisspelled@reddit
It’s even better than that, Worf simply says “Die,” and nothing more. The look on everyone rises face is amazing. And then of course Q’s response is also priceless “Oh very clever Worf. Eat any good books lately?”
Honestly, one of my favorite exchanges in all of Star Trek
gisco_tn@reddit
And then that old grouch Picard yells at him until he stops. Captain Buzzkill f'real.
Crot_Chmaster@reddit
One of my favorite scenes. Spiner absolutely nails it.
ragnorokismisspelled@reddit
Deja Q, and no

username372652@reddit
ah yes, the woman on the left. I remember being 13.
LV426acheron@reddit
He could go to Holodeck 4 any time he wanted.
JamminJames_@reddit
Of course Riker is tempted by these women, Riker is a very sexual man. However, in this moment, he’s acting as a Starfleet officer. Q is a threat to his ship, and being a command officer on that ship, it’s his duty to protect it. So he says no, he doesn’t need Q’s fantasy women. That’s the correct call, because he knows what happens when you play Q’s games.
Spaceghost_84@reddit
Nah. Riker gets enough real women.
DarkBabyYoda@reddit
Ricker literally is accused of rape in the next episode.
DetonationPorcupine@reddit
Riker doesn't want to be fed. Riker wants to hunt.
hinsb@reddit
Great Jurassic Park reference
BitcoinMD@reddit
Tempted to do what? Have sex on the bridge? Leave his post with them? There isn’t much you can do in that situation.
nathantravis2377@reddit (OP)
He could at least slip them something hard with his contact details on, something they wouldn't forget.
Seditious_Me@reddit
Definitely a Q episode. The cigar gives it away

‘My good fortune is your good fortune’
CeleryAdditional3135@reddit
Although, he IS not foreign to appreciating the beauty of a woman's mind and body, he is never shown having no control over his desires.
Especially when it comes to his duty, his choice is not even up to debate.
So, no.
myguydied@reddit
I think by that look he got there in his pants
Yojimbo8810@reddit
“It never happened.” “It’s a figment of our imaginations.”
samhain2000@reddit
Rykers room must have looked like a Jackson Pollok under a black light.
MikeReddit74@reddit
I understood that reference.
kiddo778@reddit
3 x 13 Deja Q? Literally the one I have on as I scroll.
And probably. How could he not be?
Due-Coffee8@reddit
Riker is tempted by any woman lol. He is a dirty bastard
Cautious_Mongoose399@reddit
Thank you! Couldn't remember the name of the ep. I knew it was the one where Q gets kicked out of the continuum with no powers. Chooses to be human for his "punishment ".
nathantravis2377@reddit (OP)
Agreed, 20 minutes later, cut to Rikers quarters. Whoo, hah. Yes, Mr. Simms.
UYscutipuff_JR@reddit
Ah, the episode that gave us “Worf! Is this your idea of sex?!”
kiddo778@reddit
No, don’t think so. That’s in an earlier season (2, maybe?) and I think it was Geordie that said it?
UYscutipuff_JR@reddit
You’re right, I’m thinking “hide and Q”
RangerMatt76@reddit
Yes, and Riker was the one that provided Worf with a fantasy woman.
Acceptingoptimist@reddit
It was and LaVar's delivery is perfect.

Riker lives in a society where holodecks are a thing. Q's not offering anything Riker can't already get with some private time in the holodeck.

PhilAggie1888@reddit
I always assumed Riker was somewhat underwhelming in the sack.
Ok-Bowler-203@reddit
Don’t forget , Brenna Odell seemed even more pissed of after her encounter with Riker.
“FATHER!!!”
WhoMe28332@reddit
I never noticed that in classic Star Trek costuming style they went for a little underboob on the woman to Riker’s left.
