All of this, except "be me now, 20 years old, I have the same hobby as my dad did when he was my age, which is gaming, but he now tells me to go outside and that this generation only likes computers and won't do shit for themselves".

He said he doesn't have a father figure. Not that he's gay.

No shame in getting topped if you are a power bottom
View on Reddit #35778036

Is power bottom a class in Warcraft?
View on Reddit #35817161

MoistStub@reddit

It absolutely is. It's an orc sub-class I believe, with the special ability Gape (I don't know anything about WoW).
View on Reddit #35847041

grant_abides@reddit

It's got the best DPS (dicks per second) in the game
View on Reddit #35847117

Now, MoistStub, I've heard that speed has something to do with it...
View on Reddit #35778850

MoistStub@reddit

Speed has *everything* to do with it. You see, the speed of the bottom informs the top how much pressure he's supposed to apply. Speed's the name of the game.

Completely valid. My Dad was great but I've known some really shitty dads in my lifetime.

hang onto that curse man. best times of my life were playing wow and society sold me the story that I needed to change. I needed to stop, to get a wife and family, and if I didn't I'd be a loser incel who isn't cool. I couldn't be an alpha, I need to chase self-improvement. Why? What is the purpose to life? Now I have all that, wife and kids, responsibility 24/7. Wake up 6am every day and completely engaged in activities that are other-people-centric until 9pm at night, and by that time, I'm exhausted. Yes, there's lots of good things about it, but man. Do I ever wish I could be cursed again.
View on Reddit #35781699

SleaterK7111@reddit

You claim you have a wife and kids, but the best time of your life is playing world of fucking warcraft? I don't know who I pity more, them or you.
View on Reddit #35782756

NorthDakota@reddit

Now that this thread slowed down a little bit, in all seriousness I would have told my younger self to just follow your instincts. Don't let other people decide what is best for you and don't feel pressure to do something that you don't feel is right for you. Do what you feel you want from life and try to trust yourself. There's so little time and nothing really matters, work hard to make sure you make it but be sure you're doing what YOU want. Love my kids btw, wouldn't change the course of my life knowing now how it turned out. I have some regrets given the situation I'm in now with my wife, but other than that, I'm not complaining. You don't have to feel sorry for me - I'm simply saying don't listen to society, do what makes you happy. For some people, that might be chillin with the boys playing wow, genuinely, and there's zero shame in that.

For me it was my older brother. My dad passed long before I could start making solid memories, but I saw my big bro playing minecraft in its early days, maybe around version 1.4 and he built me a, for the era, a pretty sweet looking stone and spruce fort in the tundra. I can’t find the old tutorial video but it’s thanks to that first encounter that I’ve still loved to play it for more than ten years now.

one of my earliest memories period is walking into the den/living room where my dad was playing N64 super mario brothers.

I quit after Shadowlands. But I confess that I do miss the game. The music of Elwynn Forest, or Azuremyst isles, the hustle and bustle of Stormwind.... Even If FFXIV has fully replaced WoW for me, I will not ever forget it and the memories it gave me

For me it was my uncle. He once had to watch over me, so I stayed at his house. He didn't really know what to do with me so he dumped me in front of his computer and inserted a Floppy with one of those ego perspective dungeon crawlers (like old SMT or Elder Scrolls games) and let me play it. Pretty sure I was too young because I still remember the gore and the huge tits of what I think was some Lamia (Snake) chick. I believe that was the moment I fell in love with video games.
View on Reddit #35775765

Shogol@reddit

Same story, except neverwinter nights and dungeon siege. Eventually, he indirectly got me into WoW, Halo and horror games cause we lived in the same house I used to watch him play a lot. Never really thought about it until now, I might have had completely different hobbies if not for him.
