Anyone been to Worldsprings near Grandscapes/The Colony?

Looked at their website. Prices seem okay. But…why would you go to a hot springs in Texas unless it’s January or February. Also, do they ship in the water from these places or what? lol. Just seems a bit odd. If it’s actually nice then I’ll go though.

I used to work as a water quality tech at worldsprings and there is no minerals in any of the spas because of how often they have to fill the spas with regular water. Except for the Dead Sea which is primarily Morton’s salt. 4 employees have been sent to the hospital and no one did anything to resolve an issue until OSHA was involved, now they laid off 2 of those employees for sticking up for there coworkers. And they are under investigation from osha. Just food for thought before going to a “health and wellness center”

Oh no! Why did the employees have to go to the hospital?!

2 because of Arsenic poisoning and the other 2 from Carbon Monoxide poisoning

Is it a hookup site, not sure I want to see people having sexy time while I try to relax. Anyone know?
bblack1998@reddit
We saw a total of one couple making out while we were there for valentines weekend but they clearly knew eachother well 😆 I would not consider it a hookup space

I can do a hot tub and hot coffee when it’s 100 degrees outside so I think it’s personal preference.

Horrible experience. We went on a weekend. It was cluttered with trash, so overcrowded, no service, pay for cheap robes and customer service was subpar. We didn’t even stay two hours, even though we were booked for three. Definitely couldn’t shower fast enough when we got home. Not worth the price, don’t go when it’s too cold, there aren’t any wind blockers and the warm pools are really separated. I would have appreciated knowing how long to stay in certain pools to get the lasting effects. I wouldn’t recommend going.
harrietgarriet@reddit
I’ve only heard good things about it but the time limit is 3 hours (spa services are separate). Each pool is a recreation of the different hot springs around the world, ie they’ve got the correct minerals and temperatures, they’re not trucking in the actual water.

I live in Frisco and purchased a monthly membership for $96/mo. I'm going today for the first time, but I can go M-F at any time as often as I can. That's a better deal than the Russian Banya, King Spa and Spa Castle.
kk_ahiru@reddit
How do you compare it to king spa and spa castle? Im coming back from Korea where the saunas and oncheons (onsens/spa pools) had very specific procedures and types of pools/saunas. Is that what this place is like? Or is that type of experience more like king spa or spa castle?
AdChoice2614@reddit
How did you get it at that rate?
ClassyPants17@reddit (OP)
Hey man, if they call themselves a premier spa destination they better be trucking in Japanese volcanic spring water 😂
Traditional_Value_83@reddit
I work there, they don't actually haul in water from natural hot springs. It's pools filled with the same mineral compositions as different hot springs from around the world, just mimicking so that they can be cleaned and maintained properly. There's 2 massive pools that sit at around 80°F, and plenty that are under 99°, so there's cooler options considering it's Texas. Plus, 3 55°F cold plunges and cryogenic therapy. It's getting a bit cold now though, the saunas have been more active.

Are there any evenings that are adults only or are there always children there?
Traditional_Value_83@reddit
There's only 1 section where children are allowed, so most of the place is free from children at all times. There isn't really anything for kids to do here, so people usually don't bring their kids anyway.

Do you know how it is Weekday nights during the winter? Is it full of people or no?
Traditional_Value_83@reddit
Thursday night is slightly busier than the other weekdays (because of the free beer and wine from 7-9), but it's pretty empty otherwise. Monday through Wednesday are the least busiest
JethroDave@reddit
Great to know, thank you! What about woman’s bikinis guidelines? Are thongs permitted? Thank you so much for the feedback
Traditional_Value_83@reddit
I work in food & and beverage, so I'm not too sure about the specific guidelines for clothes, but I'm pretty sure that as long as everything important is covered, there's no problem. The only people I've seen get kicked out for dress code violations have been nude, so it's not too strict

Sounds good, thank you again!

Looks very cool. 😎

I've been a few times now as it's been a great place to take friends visiting town— temperatures range from their cold plunge at 50 degrees, but most pools are around 89-101. There's a three-hour limit but no one is really tracking that so you could easily stay longer if you wanted, but I'm usually ready to go around the three hour mark.
The facilities are very nice, and I'd recommend a trip if you're interested! Should be very nice once the weather starts to cool down a bit too.

My friend went a few weeks ago! She said she had a great time.
