Reno was my place to hear a lot of warbirds flying at once, Duxford is now on my bucket list

The ‘replica ME-109’ is an Hispano HA.1112-M1L Buchón, registration G-AWHK.
The Buchón is a Spanish licence built Bf 109, which was re-engined with the Rolls Royce Merlin due to a lack of German components post war.

Wow that is AMAZING.

I had a weird flash of a memory when I saw that roof. About 20 years ago, dad and I went to Duxford with some of my grandad's war papers. They scanned them and took some notes. I felt special going "behind the scenes" but it was just an office in a shed. From memory, it was close to the original air tower. I think that might have been the last time I went to Duxford.
