The one that was on the map showing to be south of Pioneer and north of division in Grand Prairie ended up being north of Pioneer in Grand Prairie
txgrl77@reddit
Was that the Asian Times Square?
silentcobra0543@reddit
Yes
13rian89@reddit
Carrollton one was found
Chavita96@reddit
Do you know where? It was never posted on the website.
Separate-Ad-5707@reddit
Any in south Dallas that haven’t been found?
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Looks like the furthest south one has been found. Only one left in Dallas is somewhere between Deep Ellum and Highland Park.
silentcobra0543@reddit
One in Arlington left and I'm having a hard time locating it!
2onpio@reddit
Is it just me or does the map I receive just show a ball in general area not detailed enough to even distinguish the streets?
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
I wasn't going to get the map since I have no time and no intention to look, but since y'all said this, I just requested it. Yeah, it's not particularly helpful. I couldn't even expand it without it degrading. BUT...
I am NOT affiliated with this project, just got the press release in my inbox, AND...there were pics of people holding the new baseball sculptures, and standing near other Brad Oldham sculptures. So if it were me, I'd go to the one nearest to me. The dragon thing in Southlake, the cute animals totem in Richardson, the Travelin' man sculptures, the one near Yardbird and Price Waterhouse Cooper in the Parks District, the Skaterbird at Brad Oldham Studio, between Energy Square and The Meadows Building near the Greenville Avenue Dart Station. There's a mural at 508 Park near the Farmers Market, Linda Lee Llama at the rooftop pool at the Statler, a silver owl called Whimsy at Exall park.
I'm a big fan of his work and of other local artists whose public works enrich our lives. There's just no way I have time or mobility to go chase one down. Y'all have fun.
Krumagon@reddit
Just looked at the dragon in southlake. Nothing.
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Many of them have already been found.
NoRepresentative9423@reddit
My son and I went to the C. R smith museum, the golf course (employee stated it wasn’t there), the train station at centreport, dragon sculpture in Southlake and grapevine bronze statues. No luck and my dogs are killing me :(
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Dang. Someone said last night the dragon one wasn't there, but the golf course and museum were smart choices. They've updated the site with the ones reported found. They all list where they were found. 4 or 5 were Oldham sculptures. Others were baseball related. And that map is not very proportional.
Thanks for reporting back. It was cool to hear from other folks since I couldn't go.
NoRepresentative9423@reddit
7 still haven’t been found. But we’re thinking the map is from when the Dallas eagles were first introduced in 1945. Since there is a lot missing from what the current map looks like. Still hate how vague it is. Can’t really zoom in.
Vegetable_pineapp221@reddit
Where is the animal in richardson at?
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Hillcrest Village on Arapaho
RangerLover92@reddit
The map was pointing me to Preston and Belt Line, could it have been at Hillcrest and Arapaho instead?!
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
That map wasn't very specific, but the sculpture is at 6859 Arapaho Rd. West of Hillcrest. There's a Haystack Burgers there and Don Pepe's. The sculpture is in front of the park area. Difficult to miss.
Vegetable_pineapp221@reddit
I went to all 22 sculptures in addison. All baseball parks there & Carrollton. Somone prolly has it but hasn't claimed it yet
2onpio@reddit
The ball covers like a 10 block radius.
13rian89@reddit
Carrollton one was more than 5 miles from the blue dot
Luna_stokes@reddit
Where was the Carrollton one found? Do you know?
Prize-Significance88@reddit
Haven’t had any luck with the map smh
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Here's what I figured out about some of the map spots that are not yet marked as found. Of course, any of them could be found and just not reported, but based on the map, I feel certain there is or was one in Southlake.
It looks like there's one in the North Arlington area along 360 - north of 30 but south of 183. There's a big golf course along there, but I can't think of any other specific place it might be hidden.
There's is or was definitely one at Texas Wesleyan University. I have no idea of a spot on campus where it would be.
That's all I got.
Forsaken-Cow3194@reddit
Southlake or Grapevine? The dot looks closer to Grapevine in my opinion... but that's just like my opinion, man.
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
I said Southlake because there's an Oldham sculpture there, at a location that's not inconsistent with the map. But someone said they went there and looked all over and didn't find it. So either that wasn't it or someone found it already.
Forsaken-Cow3194@reddit
Oh, I see. Yeah, I’ve been seeing some comments about the map dots not being where some were found… 🤷🏻♂️ So good callout! I really need someone to claim this thing so I can focus at work and get home after work at a decent time lol
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Looks like at least 17 have been claimed. 2 of the dots on the map I got are covered up by a graphic on the "found" map.
Premature_Squirtle@reddit
Unfortunately was not there when I checked. Looked all over that area where the dragon is
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Sorry to hear that.
Strong-Customer6811@reddit
Has anyone checked lagrave field? Would it be worth the risk of trespassing?
PlasticBarber2034@reddit
Someone found the Lagrange Field and the Stockyard!
Strong-Customer6811@reddit
How? That field is blocked off unless you just the stockyard one
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Someone from this thread actually went to search for one at Brad Oldham studios and ended up speaking with Brad. Oldham said none of them are hidden in a way that you would have to search nooks and crannies, so you definitely will not need to trespass.
Odats_fluff@reddit
Someone found one at Texas Wesleyan
nballi702@reddit
I found the one in Downtown Fort Worth at the panther statue near the courthouse.
PlasticBarber2034@reddit
When did you find it! I went there at 330 and found nothing!
nballi702@reddit
I found it at 1:07.
ac0269@reddit
Cap I was there at 5:30. And just left from there
nballi702@reddit
I never post on Reddit so no clue how to post the pic 😂 but I got it 5 minutes after they text out about it. I happened to be there registering my car this afternoon.
Several_Top4837@reddit
How much do you want for it?
txgrl77@reddit
Dang it! I went all south. And had to get back to my office so I didn’t go to the panther! I should have known better with the peagle being half panther! Good job!
antphoto@reddit
Was it the ball by itself or is it in a container? I’m heading to downtown dallas looks like there’s still a few left there according to the site
nballi702@reddit
It was just sitting there, no packaging.
antphoto@reddit
Thank you! Hope luck is on my side!
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
So excited for you!!!
kiy-o@reddit

13rian89@reddit

Ok-Bag5598@reddit
Did someone already get the one in Richardson?
Hernandez2011@reddit

Just checked at the Traveling Man and Walking Tall Sculpture and I’m guessing I was too late :(
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
They may not have been there at all, but it seemed like a smart starting point. Good luck with the rest of your search.
Dry-Distribution7191@reddit
None by the stockyards mural!
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Darn it. Hope you find one of the Fort Worth ones.
BearWithHat@reddit
Map is very vague, not a lot to go off
muklan@reddit
What kinda jerk hides stuff during a treasure hunt? Seriously?
txgrl77@reddit
I’ve looked at several places in downtown Fort Worth. But haven’t had any luck. I’m not sure how hidden they will be.
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
It's hard to say, but good luck! Hope you find one.
Barfignugen@reddit
Man it looks like there’s a huge cluster of them in my old neighborhood. Can’t get over there right now tho!
monobrain007@reddit
Do you have a map? Im waiting on my email. I just signed up
JustMeInBigD@reddit (OP)
Got this press release today. They look pretty awesome and who doesn't love Brad Oldham and Christy Coltrin?
