No other info at this moment. Just deplaned there. Missed the fireball while I was getting my phone out

Tarmac? There isn't any tarmac at DFW.

Tarmac is a common term for the ramp / apron. Give OP the benefit of the doubt on that one.

TARMAC is a form of asphaltic concrete used in the UK not in the US. It’s short for Tar Macadam. Some reporter heard used in a UK broadcast and thought it would be oh so cool to use it.
The only people who use it regularly are members of the popular press try to assume an air of sophistication.
All air field construction for airports carrying large commercial aircraft is reinforced concrete.

I did not identify myself as an aviation expert. However I am one now. Ok not a tarmac.

Or you know, leave it up for others to be aware in case anybody else might decide to make the same post today or in the future?

I’ve been flying into dfw for over a decade . I’ve never seen this. Coincidentally our jet was rolling down the runway and the piloted aborted the takeoff. When they deplaned us I spotted a fireball coming off skylink and said “wtf”. I’m inclined to leave it for educational reasons on why and the fact there is no “ tarmac”

Yeah, I've flown several million miles from DFW and never seen this, even if I knew it had to be happening somewhere.

Probably shouldn’t park the plane there.
dhull100@reddit
They do tests there every day. Hopefully that is what it is.
