Outside of January 6th the last time any angry mob or other party breached the inside of a federal government building intending to stop the federal government from committing to their constitutional duties was during the war of 1812 when the British burned the White House down.
Pretty sure I saw the mayor of Portland attend a riot where they burned down a court house, while part of Seattle declared its independence and forced police out of a precinct.
Yeah they really stopped some serious constitutional duties when they were let in to the perimeter by security, took a shit on the capitol floor, got one of theirs shot dead, and then dispersed afterwards.
I'm not saying there was tremendous evidence for voter fraud, we would have seen some of it by now. But Biden won by as little as 40k votes in battleground states. It's hard to say that was a squeaky clean, even handed election when briefly going over media coverage of each candidate. The Hunter Biden laptop and letter signed by "50 former intelligence officials" should have every single one of those people publically named and shamed. That doesn't explain every vote against Trump, but massive media supported lies like that do push the thin margins in favor of one candidate.
What would the military industrial complex government benefit from having an anti war, strong borders chief at home?
You have a profound misunderstanding of Jan. 6 if you genuinely think there were no FBI informants such as Mike Epps in the crowd urging people to go inside the Capitol. You ignore Trump's comment that "we're going to go peacefully and patriotically." You ignore the fact that Capitol police opened the gates. You ignore the fact that FBI agents guided protestors once they were inside the Capitol to relevant rooms. The Capitol is a maze, and only people who deeply know its layout would be able to find buildings such as Nancy Pelosi's office or the House or Senate chambers. More than that, do you seriously consider this an attempted unarmed insurrection? That's absolutely ludicrous. Trump did nothing to incite, and he specifically told people to go peacefully. Meanwhile, the FBI incited and led protestors through the building, and the Capitol police opened the gates.
that's a really interesting way to spin the fact that diehard republican voters want to murder the current leader of the party because he's everything they hate. Trump is so bad that he not only converted them to the other side but made them want to kill him
These guys are just wannabe losers who want to get the kind of pussy that writes to them in jail. Absolutely disgusting and shameful to compare them to one of the greatest videos game characters of all time, Assassin's Creed Guy.
It's funny how all the "die hard republicans" are war mongers like Cheney and borderline Democrats like Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts and founder of Obamacare.
Only thing separating you from Routh and the first soyboy is about 10 IQ points. Lack of brain cells + 24/7 media propaganda is causing these assassination attempts.
We've had 4 years of Trump already. If both sides ignored the media extremists during that time, then nothing significant actually happened during those 4 years.
being a "diehard" pertaining to any political affiliation should be considered a way to ascertain with certainty that somebody is clinically insane - the fact that someone that meets this criteria is also clinically insane enough to want to murder a presidential candidate is not that surprising
Nah, the scary truth is that there was no inside job conspiracy to try to kill president's, it really is just that easy to kill a man if you've got nothing to lose.
We’ve seen them set themselves on fire, attempt two political assassinations and try to weaponize the justice system against political opponents. They’re literally that brainwashed
Guy, that incites violence is shot at. What are the odds? What was it JD said about school shootings "Just a fact of life". Conspiracy's are fun and all, but this is looking more and more like someone reaping what they sowed.
In no way do I believe violence to that degree is the answer. But acting like Trump is a saint and has not brought this on himself with his actions is extremely ignorant.
So two assassination attempts in a couple months, weaponization of the Justice system to put political opponents in jail, control of all mainstream media companies outside of fox, and an ideology to designate people as undesirable
It’s wild to me that trump is someone considered a threat to democracy by libtards. These same clowns cry when putin does it but it’s totally okay when they do it
I get that those assassins are outliers more than anything but you really have to wonder if the ideology is radicalizing people (hint, it is)
Self inflicted wounds. When you ride the bull of demagoguery, if it bucks you off you get the horns.
weaponization of the Justice system to put political opponents in jail
By "political opponents" you mean criminals. Yes, that is what the Justice system does. You heard of Bob Menendez?
control of all mainstream media companies outside of fox

and an ideology to designate people as undesirable
Who are we talking about again? Do you mean the demagoguery against brown people being perpetrated by the right or the demagoguery against crooked, lying, rapist politicians by the right?
Your level of projection is astounding even for someone afflicted with Trump cultist syndrome.
The CIA is probably filled with incompetent DEI/nepobaby hires now, just like every other government institution.
They're still going on the strength of their reputation forged 50 years ago, but those cloak & dagger boomers are retired now and in their stead we probably have a bunch of inexperienced managerial-types playing at running the world. And even those CIA boomers couldn't assassinate Fidel Castro, so it's not like the agency was infallible even in its heyday.
He missed a headshot by an inch using iron sights from like 300 yards away. And he only missed that because Trump turned his head at the last second. That's not bad shooting at all.
It doesn’t matter how close you were, a miss is a miss. Whether it was half an inch or half a mile the result is exactly the same. Anything short of hitting your target is a bad shot.
Nah in my example, both missed the bull's eye. You were saying it doesn't matter how close the shot was since it missed which is regarded. Someone who scores 79/100 in a test where a 'pass' is 80/100 is leagues better than a person who scored 1/100.
Trump, without a doubt, is wearing a vest. There's a really good chance that hitting centre mass would do nothing but give him a bruise or broken ribs.
Trump is also 78 years old and is on the cusp of being a frail old man. Even if a jacket could stop the bullet, the impact alone could probably have put him in the ground
Incredibly variable dependent. Something like M995 or M855a1 out of a 20-22" barrel, sure, no available kevlar is stopping that.
But standard off the shelf M193 or M855 out of a 16" barrel may get stopped by some of the newer kevlar offerings available to those with spare hundreds of thousands of USD.
Additionally, if they're stacking concealable lightweight ceramic level IV plates with a full IIIa suit, it could definitely shrug off any 5.56 at any range.
Okay, that's even more unlikely. Plate carriers are deeply uncomfortable, and most candidates already don't like the inconvenience of many of the security measures already in place. They aren't putting on a plate carrier. Even if they did, plate carriers don't have side plates, so from the angle Trump was facing it wouldn't even matter.
The shooter was also under duress. The cops were already trying to get on the roof before he fired. And once he started shooting, secret service started shooting back.
The "they wanted his head to explode on live TV" conspiracy theory is the only real explanation, IMO. Anyone decent enough to get a shot that close would've known to go for center of mass.
