They do free home pickup too. We use them all the time.

Everyone saying just throw them away are the same people who will complain when their utility bill goes up. Plano wants to keep as much out of the landfill as possible as we pay to use it. The donation boxes you see around the city are usually for clothing recyclers no matter what it says on the box. You can always drop them there. Also 3rd Saturday of the month Christ United Methodist 9 to 11 you can drop clothes for recycling.

The user says they’re not suitable for donation though.

Which is why I recommended recycling options and didn't suggest the good will.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month City of Plano has a Community Recycling event

Most of the bins in parking lots “ragify” that stuff so it will still be used for something other than landfill.

Richardson clothes closet will recycle textiles

Take them to any of the donation drop spots. Most of them are managed by companies that sort through this stuff. Most clothes donation are just shredded for fibers as there are a lot of clothes donation.

I've heard that H&M also had a clothing recycling program

You can’t donate them because you are new here? I’m sorry?

Punctuation helps tremendously.

They can go in the trash. If it’s too much for regular trash, you can take them to the Custer Road Transfer Station. Just bring your ID and water bill (with matching addresses).

These folks will recycle textiles if that’s what you’re hoping to find.

Put them in a trash bag and put them in your trash can just like you’d take out your kitchen trash. The garbage truck comes once a week.
