Hard to believe that's a totally different terminal from what i flew into a few years ago. They were smart to build the midfield terminal in 1980 and left tons of room for expansion over the last 40+ years since; doubtful they would've handled the increase in traffic so efficently otherwise.
The three different deliveries are, the original sideways widget with Delta Air lines, and then they shortened it to just Delta, and then the third one is they straightens the widget with just Delta
Used to fly into there as an unaccompanied minor, 6 -12 years old, in the early 1960s, from now gone Stapleton in Denver to visit divorced dad during summers.
Got to visit the cockpits often on those propeller powered flights, often with multiple plane changes/layovers. Ended up with a collection of the old enameled stamped metal 'Junior Pilot' pins from TWA, PanAm, Braniff, Western, etc.
Wore them as an adult on flights decades later, as a goof. Half of the other passengers looked at me like I was Forest Gump, but pilots knew their provenance, and offered considerable cash for them. No way - I earned those!
Ah, reminiscing about the good ol' days when flight delays were just as common but at least you could send a postcard to complain about it!If only we could teleport back to '69 and experience those vintage travel frustrations firsthand.

You can see the three different types of liveries that the DC-9’s had at that time
Planeandaquariumgeek@reddit
Could you point out the third one? I only see 2.
the_dead_texan@reddit
The third DC-9 says Delta Air Lines instead of just Delta (I think that's what they're referring to).
Planeandaquariumgeek@reddit
Yeah that one and the delta only one

Yup.

Last time I saw one was a DHL flight out to MSP back in early 2000's, and I think it was a Super 73.

Ooh I like those old liveries, never seen them before

Obligatory reminder Delta retired the DC-9 in 2013.
Messyfingers@reddit
I was about to say, it's been barely a decade since those DC-9s were still flying
hyperdude321@reddit
Granted those DC-9’s were inherited from northwest.
