Made the financially responsible decision of buying a '79 BMW 528i for $1800

Just picked this up the other day. Saw it on craigslist and had to go check. Owner was an old guy with too many cars, too much money, and not enough time. Seemed pretty stoked that someone young is into this kinda stuff.

202k on the dash but it runs and drives for the most part. 5 speed manual shifts well besides needing a shifter bushing. Has some fuel system issues, substantial floorpan rust (fixable I swear), various leaks but not too bad for a 45 year old BMW. Trust me, I know that I have only scraped the surface of the impending issues.

Interior is mint enough, body and paint are great if you squint. AC works, power windows mostly work, sunroof doesn't work. Probably other stuff I'm forgetting right now.

Really not much to this car which is why I'm excited for this project. Also find me another E12 that can drive me 2 hours home for $1800 with virtually no prep. I am still in shock that the owner let me talk him down to such a low price but hey I'm not mad.
