Something is off. Why does it feel hotter than it actually is?

I can answer this. It souded crazy but I swear the sun feels hotter than normal. Turns out- it does. Lol.
Basically the earth has magnetic cycles. The magnetic field acts kind of like a solar radiation shield. Right now the magnetic field for us is on the thinner side, which means more solar radiation can hit our skin. The temp outside isnt too bad, but we are feeling more heat from the sun's radiation. There is a huge difference in percieved temp between shade and sun.
That and appearently clearing out atmospheric pollution has had the unfortunate effect of 'taking away' a bit of the heat/radiation shield effect that those pollutants were causing. https://futurism.com/pollution-artificially-shielding-climate-change
And of course other people have mentioned it has been muggy, that definitely helps (hurts?)

In Houston, it can be in the 80's, but with their humidity, their heat index is as high as ours, when we are in the 90's with "some" humidity.
People used to complain about their electric bills saying "Why is it so damn high??? It was in the 80's last month???"
It was the humidity & the high dew points. And their AC was coming on and off all night long to compensate, as high humidity and high dew points can run all night long in some cases.
