Looking for a new endocrinologist

I’m currently seeing Dr. Vallera at Baylor in Dallas who I’ve been with for 4 years for but she’s dropped the ball numerous times in the few months on getting me the medications I desperately need. Last Friday was the last straw. Can anyone recommend me a new Endo? One who specializes in hormone replacement would be a plus! Thank you!

I’ve been seeing Andrew Garza at Thyroid, Endocrinology, and Diabetes in Grand Prairie, but they have a Dallas location as well! They’ve been super great!

Avoid Endocrinology Associates of Southwest Dallas, seriously the worst doctors office I have ever been to. Won’t answer the phone, hour long wait times at your appointment, excessive charges and test, can’t figure out a prior authorization. Luckily after 2 years here I have finally been able to get a referral elsewhere

Dr. Bressler at North Texas endocrine center has been fantastic for me. They are well versed in the latest treatment option and will find one that works for you.

I’ll definitely take a look, thank you!

I've been going to North Texas Endocrine Center for 20 years. Highly recommend Dr. Bressler and Julia Dilliard.

I go to Las Colinas Endocrinology. You won't need to wait 5 months for an appointment. She is attentive and does offer TRT.

She might be a haul for you, but Dr Vivienne Yoon in Baylor McKinney balanced my vasopressin best ever. She balanced it within something like .05 micrograms. She is also sweet and her office staff is stellar. I also have thyroid issues and she manages both for me. Pituitary-less unite!

She sounds exactly like what I’m looking for, but sadly I live 30 minutes south of Dallas already. So you’re right, McKinney would be a haul lol! Thanks for the recommendation though!!!

Can't suggest anyone at Parkland. Took me about 4 years of referrals and waiting to see someone just for them to rerun my positive ACTH stimulation test and say yes it's either Cushing or a tumor but my follow up is so far in the future it's not even showing up on MyChart yet (which shows me a full year out). And that last appt where they acknowledged it was something that needed to be addressed "urgently" was over 6 months ago. So longer than 18 months and counting for follow up. If it weren't for the fact that I know out of pocket elsewhere would completely bankrupt me I'd go elsewhere. Any name I give you probably would be practicing elsewhere by the time your appointment rolled around.
Good luck though, I do hope you can find someone and don't have to wait forever. Endocrinology is one of the most understaffed disciplines in medicine, hence the long waits.

Dr. Emilia Popa at BSW on Park Lane. She’s very reliable and I’ve gone to her for years.

Dr Daniel Wong!!! Thorough, incredibly intelligent, and thoughtful. I feel really confident seeing him. 10/10 would recommend

What kind of HRT are we talking about? TRT?
Puddinksi@reddit (OP)
TRT, Adrenal, and Thyroid. A brain tumor decided I didn’t need a pituitary gland anymore! 😅

Ah, shit. That's something that requires attention to detail. I was going to recommend going telemed if endos were refusing treatment, but yeah...your situation is pretty unique. Sorry this happened to you. Would offer an in-person/local endo if I knew of one. Best of luck!

Yeah it’s pretty unfortunate. My current Endo has been great. She just dropped the ball big time recently on getting me pre-authorized for my new testosterone gel. I’m just out of patience at this point. Anyways…thanks for trying to help!
