Looking for some advice on my 1984 Holden Gemini project car. Exploded bulb melted a spot in the plastic, is it possible to fix, or is it easier to find a new taillight? Thanks :)

You can tint some epoxy red, lay the lens so that the spot to be filled is down, pour in a small amount and fill the area plus a bit more. You should scuff the original plastic to get the epoxy to bond well.

Unless you know how to vaccuform plastic and can find the right color, just buy a new one.

i know it sounds crude but red permanent marker might get it into the 'good enough' zone for now?

Lens dye?

Might not be savable, you’re probably better getting a new one
But hey where there’s a will there’s a way try it for science

Now that I’m thinking about it I’d try gently warming the spot n smoothen it down maybe a bit of sandpaper n then find a highlighter or something of the same color might not look the best but better as a temporary solution

Go on the Gemini pages on Facebook, should find one pretty easily

Sadly a new taillight is the only option the plastic will be full of air giving it the white look
