So it's a cut down Meta Quest 3 with a new switch between pass through and VR button. Neat.

Maybe i'm missing something but there's already a feature on the Quest 3 where you just tap the side of it twice and it toggles you into pass through.

In my experience its quite inconsistent. A button is more reliable and I actually welcome it vs the double tap gesture.

It's also really frustrating when it doesn't work. And AFAIK it breaks if you change the headset strap for no discernable reason.

I only ever had issues with this feature on the Quest 1. On my Quest 3 it's quite reliable, and I've replaced the strap with a 3rd party

Nothing to see here. It has an "Action Button". Yay.

The price vs Quest 2 and 3 is what matters most.

The main things that matter are price and specs. Which this article doesn't really address.
Hopefully we'll get more info on the 25th, when Meta Connect starts. That's only 10 days away. In the mean time, it's rather pointless to read this article.
