This windows 24H2 update continues to be a shit show.

What a mess. So now whe have to deal with Windows installations "lottery".
PcChip@reddit
stop using windows?
that was the single thing that made me the happiest in recent computing memory

Its a preview release so the solution is to just not use it.

Maybe reviewers should atleast test with the same drivers before they claim the sky is falling.

at this point the one thing to clearly take away is, that microsoft windows has massive performance variation among the same os version.
is your spyware 11 install slower or faster?
well have fun guessing i guess!
:D
what a dumpster fire.
what performance are you getting with your install?
and will you dare to "update" and roll the rng to see if you get more or LESS performance by doing so? ;)
how exciting.....
needless to say, but i'd strongly recommend to give gnu + linux a try at this point.
start giving it a try on an old system you aren't using a lot, or dual boot it on your main system and see if all you need runs.
remember however much horrible spyware 11 is spying wise, stability wise and performance variation (damn is that insane to have to write... ) is, spyware 12 by microsoft will be EVEN WORSE!
___
billion dollar companies making the damn cpus and apus can't get microsoft to create a consistent or improving os..... despite their best efforts.
what do you think are your chances to fix that stuff for lil consumer you?
Plank_With_A_Nail_In@reddit
Its a preview release intended to be tested, you are massively over reacting.

spyware 11 23h2 is as far as i understand the current version of spyware 11 and that can't provide consistent performance as hardware unboxed points at with graphs of perfectly indentically installed operating systems, but one is a "good install" and one is a "bad install", where generally the good install may be noticeably faster than the "bad install":

so NO, this isn't just a preview beta testing version issue.
this is an issue effecting the supposedly "stable" releases of spyware 11.

If it dosnt improve I think I will just buy two ssd then exchange install windows on them untill I hit golden installation :D then return one of the ssd lol.
reddit_equals_censor@reddit
someone should make a meme video of this lol :D
idk like gamersnexus making a skid of him searching for the GOLDEN INSTALL!!
he knows it is out there!!!
just 2 more installs..... then he'll find it for sure!!! just 2 more!!!
:D
654354365476435@reddit
The thing is that you never know with one hit the limit. So it could be like 200installs. A good video idea for sure :D

24H2 is a preview release, these issues are not the big deal people are making them out to be.

Apparently because the author tested 23H2 several months ago and is not willing to retest with the same driver set
This whole comparison seems meaningless

Thank you betatesters! Keep on it!
You'll be rewarded with data exfiltration and non opt-out telemetry.

Windows 11 sucks. Waiting for SB AE7 Support on Linux.
