I watched it on a flight back to Phoenix and I have to say. My only complaint is the intro and the ending.

One word…. Masterpiece

flip off with complaints. It was a perfect send off

Instead of showing pictures of the crew. You know how at the end of War movies the soldiers are filmed showing up at after the mission was complete and seeing their family. That would have been better than photos of the crew. The flashback part was brilliant. I’m talking about the credits

I honestly don't know what you mean with this comment about war movies that you keep replying to everything here with. Most well known war movies do not end that way. I do not remember the bit at the end of Full Metal Jacket or Apocalypse Now or The Great Escape where they debrief at the base or meet their wife at an airport. Maybe it's a modern Hollywood thing to pad out the movie by 20 minutes but it's not a normal thing, certainly not in well known/regarded movies.
As things stand, I thought they did a solid posting the pictures the crew took at the end of it:
1) To remind people about the 2 dozen other folk that make the show happen
2) To give those staff a permanently recorded memory of their last adventure together, rather than having it go to Facebook and never be seen again in 5 years.

I kept expecting the final scene to go dark and then come back at a hangar in Surrey with a signature "and good night.".... Beautifully done. I've been following these lads from the young age of 15 or 16. I surely got a little choked up. Maybe they'll have an oasis level comeback in a nursing home in about 25 years..

Should be watched on proper home theater... I think opening and ending were pretty mcuh perfect.

I wanted the opening to be similar to how they opened the show. as for the ending (credits) instead of showing pictures of the crew. You know how at the end of War movies the soldiers are filmed showing up at after the mission was complete and seeing their family. That would have been better than photos of the crew.

I genuinely have no fucking clue what you mean lol
ConstructionRare4123@reddit (OP)
Have you ever seen a war movie?
New-Measurement-9691@reddit
Yes plenty, but this isn't a war movie so why expect that from it. It's like going to McDonald's and getting passed couse they didn't serve you spaghetti.
ConstructionRare4123@reddit (OP)
Because they have accomplished their mission.

No offense, but the crew aren't the reason people watch Top Gear/Grand Tour. It's because of the personalities and chemistries between the presenters. Obviously it's nice to acknowledge the hard work that happens behind the scenes and they did that in their own way without making it the main focus of the episode which I think most people prefer.

I’m not talking about the crew. If you read my initial comment you will get what I’m saying

I thought it was perfect. Of all the grand tour episodes, this one felt the most like a Top Gear special.

How can u complaint about the ending? It is a show not a movie. They can’t be more dramatic.

That part was brilliant. But instead of showing pictures of the crew. You know how at the end of War movies the soldiers are filmed showing up at after the mission was complete and seeing their family. That would have been better than photos of the crew

Kid, they wanted to appreciate how hard those crew work. Most of them been together since the beginning. They rarely show them on camera. I thought it was thoughtful for the ending.
ConstructionRare4123@reddit (OP)
I mean sure. I enjoyed it none the less
Calm_Memories@reddit
Loved it from start to finish.

I’m watching it now and am cackling at HMS Shitfaced 😂
