as a Bosnian Bosniak who lives in Turkey (not born in Turkey, just living here) it’s not that we don’t love you it’s just that you feel more Turkish than you do feel Bosnian / Bosniak and we don’t like that it’s like an insult for us. If you spoke the language and knew that you genetically cannot be Turkish (only if your parents are mixed) then no problem. But the problem is majority of you Turkish Bosnians you wanna be more Turkish than Turkish people. Majority living in Bayrampaşa, a district of Istanbul, are Bosniaks and Macedonians. I have never encountered or heard of any bad done against them. They're quite awesome in my opinion, my best friend lives there as well who is half Bulgarian half Macedonian.

I don't think they face anything bad.

There are many Bosniaks in Tuzla or Pendik or both; İzmit and i guess Karamürsel or Gölcük (one of them); Serdivan, Adapazarı; Ayvalık; İzmir; some even live in Adana.

Well, the ones from Sancak get double citizenship and visit their family members there often. They speak the language well mostly.

Bosnaks from Bosnia like me are more different. We can’t have Bosnian citizenship and since we removed from our lands in more older times, most of us lost the connection and the ones who try to reconnect their families are uncouraged by Bosnians as I mentioned.

But many still try to keep their identities intact. Like;

I think some couldn’t get my question; I am asking Bosniaks from Bosnia if they have prejudice against Bosniaks in Turkiye.

As one of Bosniak in Turkiye, my encounters with Bosniaks from Bosnia was surprisingly bitter. ( I only spoke with them online.)

Especially when I tried to track down my ancestors 10 years ago. And asked online how can I get a double citizenship. I was told that I was a dirty Turk and no right to claim myself as a Bosniak. I felt so bad that I stopped looking for answers.

Now here, I have met way much welcoming people but my mind is still mixed

You asked about prejudice. Turks love bosnaks. It is like a privilege to be a Bosniak here. I haven’t encountered one single person who said anything slightly bad about Bosnaks.

Plus, Bosnaks could be the only nation that Turks praise. Turks don’t generally praise anyone but themselves

As a Turk that lives outside of Turkey I can confirm this.
I think its a combination of similarity, but also some differences that make the bond more special.
On one hand Bosnaks are warm people, with lots of cultural similarities, but on the other hand their appearance and language makes them kind of exotic so it's an X-factor.

Combine that with the fact that Turks don't have many other people of other cultures which they can genuinely bond with.
Europeans
Too snobbish, cold, and have 0 sense of respect (for elder, nation and tradition), shame (act and talk like unapolatigetic whores) and manners

MENA (middle east and north africa)
Have no chill pill (very confrontational for the sake of it), are by far the most radically obsessed with judging others especially in 'religious' sense. Being protective of your female familiy members is one thing, locking up women, because everyone that let's their women see sunlight is a dumb cuck that wants their wives to get f*ck*d by everyone and anything is someone else.

Then there is the Balkan countries who are a healthy hybrid of east and west.

Question for you how do Turks react when you tell them Börek can only be with meat?

There are different types of Böreks in Turkey. Local to different places or of other ethnicities. Boşnak Böreği is different than other Böreks. Turks migrated from Bulgaria make Börek with Pumpkin btw.

Something similar with Greece, they had extreme hate for Greeks that immigrated from Istanbul and Asia Minor (war and population exchange) and they use to call them filthy Turks and being extremely racist towards them.

My step father is a Greek from Istanbul and he was made to quit school because of bulling. Also the Greek government didn't allow him a Greek citizenship for at least 30 years.

Lots of things. The main thing I have in mind that Greece, like many other countries went through 4 different wars (Balkan Wars, WWI and Greco-Turkish War in Asia Minor). During that period the Greeks that lived in mainland Greece were living in poverty and were exhausted. After the loss of Greece at the Greco-Turkish war the immigrants from Smyrna were extremely wealthy (of course most lost almost everything but they carried the wealthy stereotype). So I suppose it must be jealousy combined with the fact that the mainland bearly could take care of themselves let alone the immigrants.

Now about the ones that came later on were living with the Turks for too long and the Greeks in the mainland had the idea that the Greek immigrants have already adopted the Turkish culture and therefore they are Turks

+1.8 height, colored eyes, blond-ish- hair, great jawline. I might look like I am walking on thin ice with my thoughts about Bosnian men's appearance but I had a Bosnian accountant in one of my workplaces who was my father's friend.

He looked like something I wanted to look like. Even though we were the same weight at that time (110kg) he only looked like a thin giant. Even though he didn't go to the gym once in his lifetime his belly was almost flat even though you know, burek and its consequences were a disaster for Turkish society.

I guess my prejudice about Bosnian people comes from him. I like Bosnians because I had him as a brother. And most of the prejudice comes from interactions between individuals rather than knowledge about society. And thanks to that many Bosniaks I met were great people.
