Hello!

I am looking at purchasing a 'work truck'. It will mostly be used around the farm to remove snow (with a snow blade) and trailer (<8 000 lbs) towing for relatively short distances (<200 km total trips) a few times per year.

We've gone in the direction of the F350 (no particular reason) and have one serious prospect on the table. Unfortunately, it has high mileage and runs the 6.4L Powerstroke which is apparently quite notorious.

Looking for some insights on the current prospect in terms of reliability and pricing but anything you feel is useful would be appreciated.

Price: Asking (and supposedly pretty firm on) $15,000 CAD.

Specs: 2008 Ford Super Duty F-350 DRW Lariat Crew Cab

Mileage: \~320,000 KM

Notable details: new turbos (not sure when), new exhaust manifolds, DPR and ERG deleted, well-maintained interior, minimal rust, lifted, Harley Davidson edition

Known issues: passenger side backdoor doesn't open (latch issue), passenger side back tires have a slow air leak, sunroof doesn't open easily

Driving experience: seems to drive very well; smooth acceleration and braking, good turning, good alignment, no weird sounds, feels powerful, 4WD engages with no issues

I've read a lot of concerning things about the 6.4L Powerstroke but given that this one is already deleted and has lasted to 320,000 KM it seems it might be an exception?

For $10k CAD I would be ready to bite the bullet but feeling apprehensive at $15k CAD.
