Basic food prep advice

Getting into light prepping (who am I kidding it will snowball).
Due to my work I have a lot of bigger pelican cases that I can use to store things that are airtight/watertight.
Would this be an effective way to store large quantities of bulk rice?
I know this is super basic but I appreciate the help

Deep Pantry: - Buy more of what you eat now - Eat what you buy - Quit buying when you find you can’t eat a thing before it expires (which is quite different from Best By dates) - The really hard, individualized part is making rotation simple, easy, automatic. Hint, think of flow - things should go in one side and out the other… which isn’t how most shelves are built - Only long after this is done & stabilized think about LTS

No, a more efficient way would be to sell the used cases and use the proceeds to mylar/O2absorber/5gal bucket your rice stash.

Mylar bags, Oxygen absorbers then load your cases. Look at beans, wheat berries, spices, hot sauce to expand your variety.
