Should I change my 5700x3d to a 5900x?

Well I'm building my first Pc and the only thing there's left to buy is the GPU Wich, I will get by December. I realized now that I made a mistake by buying first the CPU but, a the time the price was worthy. I have right now the 5700x3d with a tuf gaming b550 plus, since the PC will be complete by December should I sell the 5700x3d and get the 5900x? I'm gonna use the the PC MAINLY for music production and programing also a lit bit of gaming.

5700X3D is faster for gaming, 5900X will be faster for all-core loads.
Why are you buying parts now if the PC won't be complete by December? The PC hardware market moves fast, by December we should have Intel 15th gen available.

Yahh I know the market moves fast but, I live in Brasil here everything is very expensive so the only way I can afford having a PC it is buying in parts unfortunately🥲 Since I'm gonna use mainly for music production and programing should I keep my CPU or sell before it is too late?

You can just put the money aside until December. You'll buy a faster computer for it then.Â
Is return it and air in the money until then. If your can't return it, it'll still be a solid gaming CPU in December...

Yeah I was thinking about this possibility too. Let's see what the future brings

Pretty straightforward 🤣🤣🤣but, I guess you're right

Yes

You have it now… use it and test. Do you need a 5900x to work better? Since you have it, it’s better to just use it and see. Don’t go by others but by your own usage. If you’re seeing the need for the 5900x, go for it.

Yeah I wished I could tested right now because this doubt is killing me but, unfortunately I'm only gonna get the GPU in a few months. Since I only use laptops in my life either way is gonna be a huge upgrade

Basically, the x3d CPUs are still solid work CPUs. The main point… there are better work CPUs. If the cpu works out the way you want, you don’t have to get the better work cpu. If it doesn’t work as you want… then you can get the better work cpu.

Yeah I guess I will keep the 5700x3d and if I feel that I need to change than I will probably change the setup for an AM5 in the future. Thank you very much for your help!
