Any reason for the loop de loop on the approach? Quick descent, too, even the FA commented on it. Was this normal?

Possibly was lining up to land from the east, then the wind direction changed so he stayed west. 🤷🏻♂️

Pilot was likely taking his PPL exam and got asked to do a turn around a point. From the way he lost so much altitude, he probably failed.

That’s a pretty harsh comment. A lot of them have pilot goals for their futures. A lot of them already fly. Don’t lump them all into one group.
