I for one am really glad they are changing course and going this route. I hope it works out for them. I think they saw Rabbit R1 and others get absolutely thrashed trying to make AI hardware devices and did the smart thing and let us just use our perfectly capable phones to do the same function.
Looking forward to testing this out with my MacBook and iPhone

The app scares me from the first screenš¦
Moreover, you will need the keys for four API providers: eleven, deepgram, claude, ngrok. How many $$ will it require to try the app?
Also, windows installation is rather rough: LiveKit Installation and Usage Guide for Windows Required Software: IDE (e.g., VSCode, Cursor) Git Python (version 3.11.9 recommended) Poetry (Python package manager) LiveKit server for Windows FFmpeg
This is an alpha stage for sure, it is not gonna fly as is.

Its supposed to scare you. Before it runs code (unless you suppress warnings) it will try to scare you again. You could theoretically destory your computer with this. It would be best to avoid any commands that make changes.
EX: open my word documents, look for ones that have my name in them, move to xyzFolder. The problem is, did it understand you wanted your name in the search, or does it think you want to search for the words 'your name'?
Solution: Open my word documents, make a list of all of the ones that contain John Smith, save that list to moveThese.txt; next command, after having manually reviewed the list, would be: Move the documents in moveThese.txt to xyzFolder.
My solution is actually a bit more complicated, it wouldn't be hard to ask for the list on screen with a confirmation prompt. I wanted to expand things a bit so people could know what they should do.
After you give a command, it generates code and shows it to you. Often even a decent familiarity with programming will allow you to trace what is happening. If all else fails, play in a sandbox!

Agreed, Iām going to wait until they release the āfully localā version which they claim is soon. Iām definitely not subscribing to 4 different services to make this work š¤£

respect. this makes me think they are different from the reformed crypto scammers behind R1
