Have you ever bought a comfortable flat pack sofa?

It's impossible for me to get a regular sofa in my flat, have to get a box one. Have had several and none are very comfortable. Has anyone ever bought one that's super comfortable? Is it even possible?

Not bought one, but have lounged (and slept) on an IKEA ektorp sofa. Very comfortable.

We have some 2 seat recliners from Sofology and they got up to the 1st floor round a stair case with a u turn. The backs are detachable to make it much easier.

IKEA Ektorp here as well. We have two, my parents have two, and our son and daughter-in-law have one. Very comfy, and lots of different covers available from IKEA and other places.

I got an ikea Kivik 3 seater sofa. When I was reading reviews on a different one (Vimle), some people said (in reviews) that it was too soft so went with the firmer Kivik

I had an Ektorp (ikea), which was comfortable and stood up to the wear a family inflicts on furniture. I got rid of it to get a corner sofa, which isn't as good.

We had an IKEA one and it was not comfy, spent more and got a Snug sofa and a snuggler (big armchair), absolutely love them and they're holding up great after 3 years (even with our cats clawing them, you can't tell)

Never bought a flat pack one but I also thought I couldn't get a regular sofa into my flat. I called the company I wanted to buy from and they asked me for measurements of any doors it would need to get through, stairs etc and they told me which of their models in what size would fit. Just make sure that you take measurements up to the door itself when fully open, not the door frame unless you're happy to take the door(s) off the hinges for delivery, which is easy enough tbh.

We have an IKEA corner sofa bed that's surprisingly comfy, and you can lounge on it with your legs out. It's never going to be quite the same as a normal sofa, though. Maybe go to IKEA and try them out? At least you'll know they're flat-packed.
