Dang, the flow through cans be stealing that market share (the RC3 notwithstanding because it's overpriced).
Radiant_Eagle7634@reddit
Can't help but wonder if B&T is stealing some of the thunder away too. Their cans are supposedly similar performance and are historically around the \~$750 price tag. They have a new line of printed suppressors out too which includes a reduced back pressure, mini flow throw, and standard models (though the slim line reduced back pressure is closer to Surefire pricing.)
No-Caregiver220@reddit
A buddy of mine bought one of their printed RBP cans and it's really really nice. Good tone and no additional gas from his Super Duty upper
FreedomFocus___@reddit
I’ve got the SRBS non silencer shop version and it’s great. I run it on super duty and 300 blk and absolutely no gas. Bought it for like $840 out the door, sold the HUB for $350, it basically cost me under $500 plus tax stamp. No complaints. Went with the rearden atlas mount
Twinkle_shits@reddit
What the difference if it’s from silencer shop?
FreedomFocus___@reddit
Silencer shop version has a different finish on the exterior and comes with a direct thread mount. The non-SS version comes with the B&T titanium HUB, and it’s a light grey finish. Not sure if the suppressors are actually different inside or not, may want to reach out to B&T for that or see if there are any new YouTube videos on the differences.
Radiant_Eagle7634@reddit
That's awesome to hear. Which model is it? B&T's Mini K is mighty tempting, just want to see the pricing on it. Don't get me wrong, I'd buy a Surefire RC2 FDE for the right price, but there is a very good chance my next 5.56 suppressor is a B&T considering their price, performance, and mount options.
No-Caregiver220@reddit
It's the SRBS 556.
Hereforgundeals69420@reddit
My B&T SRBS has been spectacular. RC2s are cool but I'm having a hard time seeing why they cost so much with these newer, more modern cans are performing better for less.
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
lol funny enough I was considering sending my RC2 that I’ve had for about a year to Ecco to get a hub conversion.
redacted_robot@reddit
They don't do the rc2 hub conversion anymore, I don't think. Was considering it myself.
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
Says in their website they do
redacted_robot@reddit
True. They must have updated because I checked when they sent out the email notice of opening back up conversions a couple weeks ago.
FreedomFocus___@reddit
lol, I got the same exact deal as you. Sold the HUB on tacswap for $350. Amazing can, and at a great price
ApprehensiveSuit1554@reddit
I think Silencer Shop still has the new SRBS models for $950 and a free tax stamp. Directv thread though.
The B&t rotex is the direct RC2 competitor, but it still Apparenlty has less gas and weighs way less (even inconel) because it's 3d printed and not machined like the SF.
B&t are probably eating SFs lunch right now. As VBD retail said in a recent video, 'maybe they should stick to making flashlights'.
Hereforgundeals69420@reddit
Yeah, the Silencer Shop SRBS's don't look like mine. Mine is Inconel and has a flat gray colour with a rough-ish finish, and came with the SF hub mount. The new ones are way more refined and finished looking. I'd love to try their new TI 7.62 version.
nsuspense@reddit
I wish there was more testing and comparisons between B&T srbs and velos, CAT and hux. Not much info on the performance.
Radiant_Eagle7634@reddit
Definitely agreed. B&T's line up is already a bit confusing, and then stack that on multiple recent and store variant iterations. I'd like to see a little more data and clarity on how everything stacks up.
MaximsDecimsMeridius@reddit
the only data im aware of is the 2024 silencer summit results, and in terms of backpressure some videos using riflespeed settings as a comparison tool on youtube.

nsuspense@reddit
100%. The ss deal makes it a good bit less than the velos 762 I was looking at, but don't want to be stuck with an underperforming can
MaximsDecimsMeridius@reddit
pewscience has implied that they have some B&T cans coming down the pipeline. hopefully we'll see some results.
https://thunderbeastarms.com/sound/summit2024/
fwiw this one does have comparisons between the B&T SRBS and other cans
Sketchy_M1ke@reddit
I see what you’re saying, but does the extra 200 really matter on something like this? After tax, shipping, transfer fee, stamp, etc.
Radiant_Eagle7634@reddit
Depends on your situation. I don't have anywhere to transfer NFA items through that makes these sales worthwhile (unfortunately), compared to Silencer Shop kiosk places not charging a transfer fee. At that rate, the \~$200 saved on the B&T suppressor over this pays for the ATF tax stamp.
Otherwise, you'd have to weigh your pros and cons of each version and what your exact use case is for it. I'd have no qualms springing for a B&T can next, but if I find a RC2 FDE at the right price, I'll still go for it.
OGVers@reddit
I’m assuming there’s no way to purchase cans from other sites and still use silencershops process right? That’s the only way I’ve bought one before
Sure-Seaworthiness85@reddit
Buy from PA, send to your local gun shop with silencershop kiosk. Go to LGs pay transfer fee and start the silencer shop process.
martinellispapi@reddit
Just be aware OGvers, that you’ll pay a kiosk and transfer fee going this direction.
Excellent_Way_1711@reddit
This is the way! I just did this with an RC2
Iggins01@reddit
Why are making me choose between this and moving out of my parent's house.
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
Cuz larping in your parents basement is an American pastime that we must protect and carry on
Iggins01@reddit
But I desire maidens, I also desire to not be interupted every 5 to 10 minutes with a request to do a simple menial task around the house that could have been done in the time it takes one of my parent's to wall up stairs and ask me to do it
N64Seller@reddit
I love my RC2's (I have 3 now), but the OCL Polonium line for $4xx is a WAY better value. On my 7th OCL and don't think I'll be looking back
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
But indestructible SOCOM drip!
All jokes aside I use my RC2 as a paperweight ever since I switched all of my mounting solutions over to Rearden. Carbon lock after every range trip is not my vibe. I wonder if the flash reduction would be as good on an RC2 if I got a hub thread conversion on mine by Ecco Machine.
Chubaichaser@reddit
Wait, you take your can off your rifle?!
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
What
Chubaichaser@reddit
I said: "WAIT, YOU TAKE YPUR CAN OFF YOUR RIFLE?!"
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
Oh sorry I was eating some crunchy Doritos and couldn’t hear you the first time!
Chubaichaser@reddit
Relatable. I'm just in my garage crushing beers, listening to Creed, and hucking wrenches at the wall. Pretty loud in here too.
But in all seriously, my RC2 pretty much lives on my SBR outside of cleaning.
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
How do u get that shit off if you let the carbon build over multiple range trips? I tried hitting it with my purse and it doesn’t help at all.
Chubaichaser@reddit
Blue collar hands and a can-do attitude.
It also helps that I have the "suboptimal" three prong muzzle device, which doesn't throw as much shit into the connection as the warcomp or the 4 prong. It's a worse flash hider, but that not important when you are literally hiding all the flash with your RC2.
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
I’m a 3 prong man myself
Chubaichaser@reddit
And that's what we (not the royal(because fuck the aristocracy)) love about you.
N64Seller@reddit
How many times have you shot yours off? I've only done it twice, but once it was it's very first outing while still in jail. Thing had a nice scrape from skirting along the indoor range's floor.
Oh well... "Hard use" right?!
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
lol I always wanted to shoot it off but didn’t have access to an outdoor range until recently. I’ve probably put like 1500 rounds through it so nothing crazy. Ironically I bought the RC2 for the mounting solution (that thing is not backing off under fire!)
N64Seller@reddit
Love the confidence I have in the mount. Probably a little hefty/long by modern standards but you're absolutely right - that puppy isn't going anywhere. I also hate the price of their muzzle devices
Sketchy_M1ke@reddit
Man this sub is gonna financially ruin me. I feel like it’s feast or famine with the deals lately.
LORD_JEW_VANCUNTFUCK@reddit (OP)
Feast now dude. Haven’t seen a deal like this in like 2 years
septic_sergeant@reddit
It really is a great price. If I hadn’t literally just purchased a griffin HRT 556 I probably would have jumped on this
