Keeping an old personalized license plate Quebec??

I bought my first personalized license plate years ago for my hybrid when I lived in Quebec but now live in Ontario and you can't get personalized licenses for hybrids.. so sad. I love cars and this plate so much so I have it up on my wall with other car stuff memorabilia along with another old license plate from my grandfather's dealership.
I switched over my driver's license from Quebec to Ontario almost a year ago and notified the SAAQ then. But I recently got a letter from the SAAQ which I think is the plate renewal fee. I can't tell if it's an error or if they want me to keep paying for the license plate or return it.. I can't find the answer anywhere on the SAAQ website or the internet so I'm just wondering if anyone knows the answer before I contact them lol. I'm afraid that if I tell them I switched over they'll ask me to return the plate but I really, really wanna keep it.
TL;DR: Anyone know how it works for an old personalized Quebec license plate if you would like to keep it? Are there fees to pay or a process before I contact them?
Thank you!

Finally found my answer.
I received another annual bill for my personalized license plate in Quebec even though I canceled my SAAQ license and transferred my plates to Ontario almost 2 years ago.
It says this nowhere in their website but after a 45 minute chat with SAAQ they explained I had to fax, yes fax, a paper titled "Annulation de plaque personnalisée" with all of my info; name, D.O.B., new address, old SAAQ file number and my signature on the bottom. I told the lady on the phone that the plate got lost during the move and she was cool with that.

I'd reread the letter you got first. Maybe it's as easy as stating that it was lost during the move?

Thanks! All it says is "Pay this amount or this will be forwarded to our legal department" 😳 So yeah maybe I'll just get in touch and tell them I moved a year ago on whichever date so they can close my file. I just don't want them to ask for the plate back!

You changed your driving license to Ontario, but did you do the same for the car? It's probably still registered there.
In any case, I'd ask on the Québec subreddit.

Ah I see.. okay I'll look I to that, I thought I did but maybe I missed a step in the many steps I did when transferring everything.. I mean everything.. over.
That aside, do you think there would be any reason I wouldn't be able to keep that plate?
