Later in my freshman year they had a showing of Say Anything for movie night at the University Center so of course I went. There is a line where Corey tells Lloyd not to “be a guy but to be a man” and seemingly every woman in the theater cheered. That was when I realized that there was more to Lloyd than a trench coat. Sadly it took me multiple more years to figure out what it meant not be a guy but to be a man. But I got there eventually, I think. Happy to say I managed to never sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career.
