Ryzen 7900/7900X ECO or Intel 13700k/13600k for new build? Real world power consumption?

I want to build a new PC. I've been running on the i7-920 for over 11 years, and I think it's time to upgrade.
I use my PC for gaming, but I don't really play the most recent AAA titles, and I also do video editing and image creation. I will not do overclocking, I'm not a frequent upgrader and I want to keep my next build for as long as possible, so my choice comes down to the 13700k, the 13600k, the Ryzen 7900 or the 7900X, for the CPUs I can afford.
I already have a NH-D15 to cool my future CPU, it's the best air cooler in the market, I don't really want to go with an AIO, because they're less affordable and practical in my opinion.
The 13700k seems to be the best when it comes to both gaming and workload performance, but as someone concerned with energy prices, the power consumption I've seen in benchmarks puts me off, the more affordable 13600k seems slightly more manageable, but isn't as good with workloads.
That's why I'm very tempted by the 7900 thanks to its advertised low power consumption, or the 7900x in Eco mode, both these CPUs are priced similarly in my country, and I could upgrade to something better once the last AM5 CPUs will be released, but it will be more money I'll have to spend down the line, and in the meantime, I will not have the best performance I can have.
I've also read that the AMD CPUs actually consume more at idle, and I can't find many reviews that tested these CPU's actual power consumption, so knowing how much power I would realistically use with each CPU would greatly help me decide.

I have a 7900x and am very happy and satisfied with my purchase. I can game, render, create, and it handles all with ease.
No need to OC, its actually better to undervolt and adjust your PBO to get higher clock speeds at lower powerdraw.
Am5 socket will be supported for another 2 -3 years as well.. so at the end of AM5 lifecycle I'll be able to upgrade my cpu without need a whole new mobo.
I run the 7900x with the noctuaDH15s, in a fractal torrent all air cooled case.
Runs like a dream.

Nice! I have built my system now, I went for a 14700K, I picked an Intel CPU purely because they have lower idle power consumption, which is more ideal for me since I keep my computer turned on almost all day everyday, and I'm not always gaming, video editing or doing other heavy tasks; and since I'm not a frequent upgrader, I wanted to pick a powerful CPU so that I can keep my build for as long as possible, like my previous one, and I also lowered the PBO.
However, with the recent news that 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs have reliability issues (I had my PC built before any of this came to light), I'm probably gonna switch to AM5 in case my CPU fails on me.
Also, my case is a Lancool II Mesh C Performance with A12x25 fans, and I switched from a NH-D15 to a Liquid Freezer II 240, the D15 was a bit too big for my case and it turned out to actually be a D14 with non-PWM fans because it was secondhand.

before switching your entire system again, maybe check out some of the yt vids on how to undervolt/change bios settings to minimize risk on your 14700k and to ensure its longevity.
