All I remember of this is when I went to what Americans call high school, your mentor teacher would visit every child's parents at their house to get acquinted. I had the popular funny teacher. And when he entered the living room, my little sister was watching this show.
My teacher said about the Fraggles, look, it's my class.
My mother deadpan replied, So that makes you the Grog.
He was absolutely stunned at first and then clearly felt right at home, probably wondering is this really the mother of that silent kid in my class?
Then he got my sister and had to reasses his life's choices.
My parents were too poor to afford HBO. I wanted to watch this so badly when I was growing up. I could now, but something won't let me. That bass line is the groove of my childhood sadness.
The first time I saw it was in Canada while we were at a hotel! Is CBC a main/local station there? A comment or above said it was on hbo which I’m assuming is US.
LOL before even reading your comment i just picked up my bass and quickly figured it out - put me in an immediate good mood! Would love to have played this in a band.

Oh wow didn’t realize it was in hbo. We didn’t even have basic cable. I remember only getting g to see it at a few hotels and am still obsessed.

Yes, CBC to me is similar to PBS. Others might disagree. I really only found good shows on there as a kid

That’s awesome! That would explain why we could see it once in awhile since we lived close to Canada and had bunny ears.

My childhood revolved around this show, Astroboy and Mighty Mouse (when it would appear, which was seldom)

I work at a place that's been under some kind of construction for almost my entire 25 years here. I call the workers Doozers and nobody gets it.

Best bass line in TV history. And a killer song. Used to cover this maybe 20 years ago

There's a longer version we used for our cover, check it out. I belive it was the outcome version.
Take a listen!
