Spent the weekend looking at electrical. Got a temporary battery installed. It's got tail lights and side markers. This is big, means I don't have to rewire the whole thing. It also has a working glove box light, and had a dome light for a few minutes. I'm pretty happy about it.

I have a 73 and of all the things I have to do on it, wiring scares me the most. Congrats man.

AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

They seem fairly bright too. Mine were working, but not bright enough to be seen in daylight.

I’m not sure how many light sockets you have in the rear, but my impala has 6 tail lights, trunk light and license plate light. It was such an accomplishment finally getting them all to work.

Counting the side markers and reverse lights, there are a total of 8 back there.

Looking good. Lights and other electrical circuits working is a good feeling. I suggest you look at the wires all over and make sure they are in good shape - not dry, brittle, insulation is still pliable. I have a car that I thought the wires were in good shape. But as I worked on it wires started to fail, insulation falling off, etc. last thing you want is an electrical fire.

Yeah for sure. So far it all has looked pretty good. My worry was stuff having been hacked apart that I couldn't see.

Is the lights the accomplishment or running over a bumper cover ? 🤣
These_Detective6836@reddit (OP)
I wish it were running so I could run over a bumper cover! That would be a major accomplishment.

Keep posting, these cars are so uncommon these days and I really appreciate them

No kidding we were at a huge car show this weekend. There were tons of Nova's, Chevelles, you name it all there. There was one charger, one challenger, and two Demons. It's the fewest mopars I've ever seen at a car show.

Good job!
You improved things even, keep it up!

It looks like you parked on top of some other car whose headlights are now shining through your tail light lenses…
