Saw this Piper on I-75S near Croom, FL

From flightradar, it looks like it took a short flight from Brooksville to Marion County in July. I'm guessing it's just major mechanical issues and being transported back to Brooksville.

Because they’d have wings sticking out on both sides of the trailer. This way they only have something sticking out on one side.

If they turned it 90 (wings out) they could actually have less weight on the trailer the faster they go.

normally they'd take the wings off and not have a tail dangling way off the side like this, but maybe that was too much work, so wide load and an escort won the day.

The distance was probably relatively short. Maybe she went down just short of the airfield. That’s my guess anyway.

Probably the insurance company’s plane and they did the offers and the math and hiring a special load company for the short distance (permits included) won out.

I was going to say that's one way to transport an aircraft in as little pieces as possible. I've never seen any wide load hanging that far off of a trailer but that's why the use an escort service. Hmm.wonder if the ladies are included? 😂😅😅
