I didn't know how to find the GPU monitor on system monitor. Now I found mission center, that you can download from flathub, which gives you a simple performance + the GPU monitoring that I wanted. (Maybe system monitor has it, I'm just too dumb to find it.)

It's not there by default. You have to 'Edit Page', and add or edit a row to add the GPU sensors

I tried that out today.. it works.. not the easiest UI to work with, but it works..
Indolent_Bard@reddit
Well that's asinine. WTF is that not there by default?
susiussjs@reddit
it also worked with nvidia for me.
mrvictorywin@reddit
KDE system monitor doesn't support Intel GPU unfortunately.
Tinolmfy@reddit
For me in ksystemmonitor, it's extremely broken in Nvidia so stopped trying , and also switched to mission center a while ago which just works
mrvictorywin@reddit
Nvidia stopped working due to changes in output of nvidia-smi command but this was fixed long ago.

Dude this is awesome! Have been fed up with all the half-assed monitor applications that are available on Linux, they just either don't give the information I want or are WAY to verbose, this one is by far the best. One of the only things I missed from Windows!

i like 'resources', aside from the shit generic name...

Oh that looks really nice. Thanks for sharing 🙂.

you guys have anything similar to this but web based?

For a second while scrolling i thought someone posted a picture of the windows task manager xD
But the tool looks great.. Definitely gonna take a look at it!
Vittulima@reddit
Mission Center is purposefully made to be like the Windows task manager. It's pretty neat.
Daniel_mfg@reddit
Seems like it is available on AUR as well... Will definitely give it a try :D
kalzEOS@reddit
There is always a new app that I wish I have known about a long time ago. Thank you for this.
Shining_prox@reddit
Is that… a task manager clone? 😱
Takemitchi-kun@reddit (OP)
Unfortunately, I have a windows thing on my linux, even though I hate windows. But task manager is easy to read so its good.
KnowZeroX@reddit
System monitor in which DE? For example in KDE system monitor, GPU is there, but hard to help if people don't know what you are using
Takemitchi-kun@reddit (OP)
Yeah, I use KDE on Manjaro. I tried to open any option menus on the system monitor, but couldnt find anything.
KnowZeroX@reddit
On KDE, let us say you want to add it to the Overview, click Edit Page
You will see things glow green when you highlight over them, we will add it to top row so click the top row(make sure its the highest green box)
Then buttons will pop up, click Add-> Column
You will see System Monitor Sensor appear, click on it
On the right, you will see:
Total Sensors - these will show up in the middle
Sensors - this shows up in the chart and on the bottom as text
Text-Sensors - this shows up on the bottom as text
Now pick one of those, and go to GPU, pick the gpu you want to see and it will show up on your overview

Ill check it out. Thanks

this is the only thing I miss from windows, and for a while system-monitoring-center provided this but was abandoned. Thanks for sharing this one, looks great

JaZoray@reddit
my mission center does not seem to be aware of my GPU
matsnake86@reddit
Btop is all i need =)
InterestingVladimir@reddit
Possibly saving a click: press F5 to open GPU monitoring. If it doesn't work, check https://github.com/aristocratos/btop?tab=readme-ov-file#gpu-compatibility
PhotonicEmission@reddit
Hey, it's the only good app in Windows. Thank you!
jojo_the_mofo@reddit
You have to change preferences. If you want, you can even set KDE's system monitor as individual desktop widgets for cpu, gpu, etc like this.
musictrivianut@reddit
Can always try nvtop
Takemitchi-kun@reddit (OP)
Yeah, bit I heard it is isnt too optimized for intel gpus. I wanted something that voukd monitor both my xe graphics and nvidia card.
cla_ydoh@reddit
For the System monitor, you can build one yourself,. but it isn't the most clear process. However, there are new pagers you can download that may be useful. Look in the three-bar menu for "Get new Pages". There are a couple of GP related ones there.
rileyrgham@reddit
It doesn't.
