Hello guys, I am an international student currently looking to move in Collin college on Mid Dec. I plan to move somewhere near Forth worth but because they have no campus there I plan to move in to plano. I don't know what's the usual rent price are. I am gonna move in with my girlfriend so a single bedroom or maybe a share apartment would also work. Can you also recommend some trusted rental services? I don't have a car yet but I am planning to buy one soon. If anyone of you wants to sell second hand car for cheap then feel free to Dm. Thanks guys

Do NOT go with The Gio or rent a room from someone here. Absolute trash and I'm still living here. It used to be nice three plus years ago.
Since it was bought, the place has gone from almost perfect to a nightmare. Crime, violence, bad maintenance, horrible management and still high rent. In summer, the AC doesn't cool the place so you're sitting in 86 degrees with your apartment while you pay well over $300 for the electric bill. It's dirty and dogs crap everywhere along with humans going around corners to piss.
They paint over cabinets and the paint peels off. The shower is painted and it melts away. The "upgraded" apartments are cheap looking. The carpet is literally cut on the parking lot and taken in and installed. Nothing works - no pools (finally fixed I believe), no weight room, no car washer (it was a bonus now turned into a maintenance room).
There are only two locations for garbage. That means people just throw their garbage on the ground because the "compactor" is full. Many evictions so their furniture end up just sitting outside for the "vultures" (people) to go through and just scatter it all over the place. Roaches all over the garbage area and a huge ant issue within apartments as well. It's gross.
They won't fix things and get stubborn if you do repeat requests. You are punished for requesting things to be fixed. The City should do something about this place. Do a Google search and read the reviews.

I think Collin College has some housing at their Jupiter Road campus.

It’s all about budget, Plano is on the pricier end of things. And if you are talking about renting a car that can add up quickly. The closer you get to Downtown Dallas the more public transportation there is especially to some that will drop you off almost in front of the campus.
I would add to the post your budget, so people can be more accurate with their responses. Welcome and safe travels.

I am thinking about buying a car with a credit card. My budget is around 5-6k$. For rent the cheaper the better. But I don't know the average prices for rooms?

This is a very bad idea. Judging by your budget, you can’t afford a credit card payment that large. Listen to the post above, take advantage of public transportation/roommate. Ballpark for one bedroom near Collin college, it’s probably around $1200-1500 for one bed one bath apt.

I am going to work too during winter and summer. I am ready to share my apartment with room mates but I need a car to go to work. Doing uber would cost me as much as buying a second hand car. But I am confused myself on what to do and what not

Unless you plan to get a zero percent intro APR card AND are 100% certain you’ll be able to pay off your full balance before the end of that intro period, you should get a personal loan/car loan from a financial institution and reduce your interest obligation by half or more.

There really isn't an average price. If you want to stay in a decent apartment you are probably looking at $1400 and up for a one bedroom. But there are definitely some older apartments you could get for cheaper. Check Zillow and apartment finder.
