This would make my 4 year olds world if I brought this home
Oni_K@reddit
Literally nothing. With the crazy used market, and the value of the Canadian dollar, you're looking at nothing but 15 year old Mazda and Nissan commuters.
Pleasant_Reaction_10@reddit
yep, Mazda 3s, a ton of early 2010 KIA/Hyundais. Sometimes there's a sweet Volvo, or Saab but they are still asking premium. In Canada you really need to have a $10-15K budget to get into something that's somewhat reliable. For the first time in my life leasing something is looking attractive as I don't want to dump money into a used car that might blow up in 2-3 years. I'd rather flush it down the drain with something in warranty the whole time.

The ‘85 Oldsmobile is an absolute stunner
YourOwnBiggestFan@reddit
I doubt anyone in the US is going to bother with restoring a diesel CX. Even if you're fanatical about them, you can just import one that already is good.
mpgomatic@reddit (OP)
Agreed! It would be a pointless restoration. But it might be fun as a LeMons car with an interesting swap.
