What's the best 4k 27 inch monitor (non OLED)?
I'm looking for opinions on what is the best 27 inch 4k monitor, not including OLED panels.
Yes I know you have true black levels and the colours are super accurate yada yada but I'm not Bill Gates to be able to swap monitors every other year due to burn in, I'm sorry.
IPS, VA or whatever else, please give me your top 1 or top 3 best 4k monitors at 27 inches and let me know why they're your favourites.
If any of them are 32 inches, you can include them as well, but I'm mostly looking for 27'.
Appreciate you 🤝

Stick with 1440p. 4k at 27 inches looks incredibly similar and at the 4k price range you can get 1440p with much higher refresh rate. You’ll also get better performance in 1440p but you probably already know that.

1440p is not very different than 4K in games. If you are doing work like reading documents or numbers in spreadsheets, 4K is noticeably better at 27 inches. This myth about 1440=4k needs to die.
ShoddyStrain3747@reddit
Of course it’s better. 4K has four times the pixels. But it’s much more affordable to get 1440p with higher refresh rate and at smaller sizes like 27”. At 27”, the difference is less noticeable than say, a 4K 32”.

This is simply not true. I used to have a 27 inch 1440p monitor and now using a 27 inch 4K monitor for video and photo editing. The difference is very noticeable. Unless you have bad eyesight or are sitting way too far from the monitor.
Atlesi_Feyst@reddit
these people are assuming "oh it doesn't get much better" no it does.
You ever notice those little fuzzy details in 1440p? Clear as day in 4k.
It's minimal to a degree, but if you want to consume content at its best, watch movies, edit, etc. it's a huge win.

What monitor are u using, trying to find a monitor for similar usecase, with gaming in mind
PUTTANESCA_8@reddit
ViewSonic VX2700 4K Pro that I mainly use for 60% work and 40% gaming

I've been using my M28U (4K 144Hz) for about a year now and I'm very pleased with it. Earlier this summer I found an LG Ultragear OLED on sale and grabbed it, just to give OLED a try. While I did immediately noticed the rich blacks and great colors, I also realized how used I had gotten to 4K, even at 28-inches.
The initial jump from 1440p to 4K wasn't as crazy as going from 1080p to 1440p, but when I went back down to 1440p from 4K, I suddenly saw a huge difference. I returned the OLED because I prefer the clarity of 4K, and with the right display settings/tweaks you can make IPS displays look very impressive.
While I was using the OLED, I also wasn't as amazed with the 240Hz as I wanted to be. I tested a couple of games and managed to squeeze 200+ FPS, but I simply couldn't really tell the difference. 144Hz is plenty fast for me.
Maybe I'm getting old, but that was just my experience. Once OLED panels come down in price I might give it a shot again at 4K.

Can you read?

I don't have much experience with 4K monitors, but I'll agree with you about refresh rates. Maybe I'm getting old too, but in my opinion once you get above 120 fps it's really a case of diminishing returns. You start either paying a lot more per frame or you have to start turning off graphics options leading to a lower quality image.
PracticeAccurate8798@reddit
It's dumb to say 1440p and 4k look similar for a 27inch screen.
i_wear_green_pants@reddit
I agree. I have a 28" 4k monitor. It's been sitting long in 1440p. You can't even see the difference but performance is way better.
So I would either pick a bigger screen to make 4k matter. Or get a higher refresh rate 1440p monitor.

Is the light bleed visible at the edges or corners when consuming low light or content having black areas?

U28I4K 28" 4K 120Hz monitor. It's made by Z-Edge, they're really good. Mine only cost about $200.

I need two monitors for work/ gaming , very good price but 60 hz only :( very bad for me.
battler624@reddit
Honestly? there are a lot of good options its just that the once you go OLED you'll see it like this
OLED >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> IPS >>> TN > VA especially if you use HDR.
Eitherway, if you don't want OLED and want the best alternative for gaming at a budget, I'd go with the M28U, if you want better go with the PG27UQR, even better would be the coolermaster tempest gp27U (Probably the best non-oled at 27")
DankShibe@reddit
There is also the LGÂ 27GP95RP-B
Away-Sir-9809@reddit
the best 27-inch led is probably the pg27uq but its only 144hz

Go with oled, burn in aren't a problem anymore...

I'll agree that 27 inch 4k for gaming is overkill.
However. A 27 inch 4k monitor is just amazing for work. I used to own a dell ultrasharp 4k some years ago and the image quality was just unreal.
